Not sure if you know this or not, but it's her label and team that schedule appearances, performances, etc. NOT her. She was on an unsupportive label for her third and fourth albums and is on a struggling label now. They're getting better and it'll be noticeable soon. That doesn't Ciara herself doesn't work hard.

She was everywhere during the release week of Ciara though. She did her best with a flop label. She always delivers with her albums (none of which have ever disappointed me), music videos and performances (even if her performances are infrequent they tend to have lots of choreo).

I wouldn't say they are equals in their talents, but Ciara definitely has similar talents that she exposes this generation to. Why deny her of that feat?

Ciara is this generations Janet Jackson. If you're going go compare Rihanna to Janet, you might as well compare her to Katy as well. Yall need to deal. Ciara vocal range is more superior to Janet's. Even dancing.

Ciara is without a doubt this generations of Janet!!! Through and through! There is not one single artist that matches the sound, can dance as well if not better than Janet and gives you that same nostalgic feeling while also sounding unique and fresh...

Another example of a journalist who just arbitrarily draws a conclusion based on one aspect of an artist's overall product. This is almost as ridiculous as when Out referred to Rihanna as this generation's Donna Summer - it couldn't have been any more ridiculous and ill-informed.

Janet was more than just a dancer, she was a pioneer, something Ciara has never been and will never be. She was a trendsetter and a highly influential artist raising, and to a degree threatening, the stakes of her peers. Ciara only had that pull with one album, and she faded as "Crunk 'N B" faded. Janet survived several trends, whereas Ciara was swallowed by them. Ciara's dancing isn't nearly as virtuosic as Janet's, and a singers, Janet is eons ahead of Ciara. Lest we not even venture into the realm of sheer artistry. And as a performer, you might as well race a Ferrari with a Toyota Camry.
