yes, and so is Ciara. The issue you're rudely hinting at is that they're not on the same level of magnitude or distinction, which i'm inclined to agree with, but that doesn't take away from Ciara's talent or that the comparison is warranted

can you link me with (in your opinion) some of her best performances? honestly I'm a low key Ciara stan, loved self titled, love I Bet, and am not delusional so again I'm not saying you're wrong I'm just saying I've never actually seen it for myself and it could take me a while if I went looking
I included the first video to show where she started and how much she's grown over the years. The first one isn't that bad though, compared to a couple of her other early performances. She's more fluid (idk if that's the right word) and has a lot better stage presence.
As much as I love Rih, Janet's discography is way more consistent and groundbreaking. I got your point about the edgy image tho.
I meant music as how Janet was able to play with genres to appeal multiple different audiences. And Rihanna has everything else. Girls copying her looks. Overall success and status. It's her. Sure Ciara dances and songs softly, but Janet was more than that.

And she was seen as being a bad singer, so those basically cancel each other out. Janet has way more things in common with Rihanna than Ciara, that's for sure.
No matter how hard Ciara trains daily her haters are never satisfied. All that matters is that those who know the truth will and those who deny will be remain pressed with every achievement coming our queens way.
I will never understand the hate for Ciara. She works her ass off and always puts on a good show.
But she doesn't tho. 2 weeks after Ciara came out she went on vacation. She barely promotes her work and never tours. She does more photo shoots than actual performing on stage. What "work" are you speaking of?
