You need to post a non biased news article. I agree, this was unwarranted and extremely awful from the police, but things like this is not okay to write as a journalist.

At the bottom, they have links to donate to her cause. Ultimately, a reliable news source would not do this. They claim of character assassination, but they're doing the opposite, which is not right.

With the media trend lately of police brutality toward primarily african american victims, I don't know how any of you are surprised that anyone would mention the racial difference in this case. Will media take this and run with it as an example of a "minority" being shot by police, or do you think it will get less press because of its differences?

Ideally, it shouldn't be about race... but the number of headlines about police vs. african american victims last year speaks for itself (sadly). The media isn't about what's happening daily or even what's prevalent, it's about crafting and packaging trends and slapping a news label on them.

No one should get shot EIGHTEEN SEPERATE TIMES even if they're wanted for murder or peddling drugs through the whole United States. Let the law handle what needs to be handled. With that being said, I smell a ****ed up case waiting to be thrown out. Who thought it was a good idea to fire shots let alone 18? Lord have mercy.

RIP to this beautiful young girl who didn't get to live a full life because of some dirty cops. I come from a family of law enforcement (on my dad's side) and it's disgusting how the dirty cops bring down the ones who really want to make the world a better place. Goodnight.

White people didn't start raising awareness of Mike Brown or Trayvon Martin, it was black people.
