Rob Marshall, Academy Award Nominated Director for Chicago, Nine, and most recently Disney’s Into The Woods, was interviewed by MTV about possible casting a pop star in one of his movies, to which he replied the following:
Quote:
I have to say Lady Gaga. I’m just always impressed with her, because she has real singing chops and I feel like she has theater chops too. I think she comes from that. She needs to do a movie-musical at some point of her life, I’m sure she will.
I forgot Barbra also wanted Gaga to play the lead role in the movie version of Gypsy.

Barbra Streisand has revealed that she may be interested in casting another music icon, pop star Lady Gaga, in the title role of her film remake of the Tony Award-winning musical Gypsy, according to Time Magazine.
During an interview about her new film "The Guilt Trip," Time reports that the Funny Girl and "Yentl" Oscar winner stated she was considering casting Lady Gaga as the lead in Gypsy. As previously reported, Streisand will direct and star as Rose. Gaga would be cast as Louise, who transforms into the notorious Gypsy Rose Lee by the end of the musical.
Oscar nominated directors and musical legends all wanting to work with Gaga on their secret projects and upcoming movie roles.
I hope she gets more into acting. I wouldn't mind if she stopped releasing albums and focused on acting (with her pop singles dropping every now and then). Either way proud of her for getting recognization yet again for her talent

No, sis, no! She can do acting and music. I mean sure, take a year or two off to work on films, but don't drop the albums completely.
