I think it was an HDD article. He admitted that they're in competition with the AMA's and want some artists exclusive to the Grammys (they do make exceptions though).

She performed at the AMA's, which normally reduces your chances of performing at the Grammys.

It's been known in the industry for awhile. Again, they make some exceptions depending on who you are, but it's rare.

You know dam well Taylor would have accepted a performance if she was asked.

Wait, really? didn't know about this. But yeah, Taylor is my #1 fave forever and as much as I give her props for being focused on the tour, they must have refused to offered her a performance spot. Had they offered it, she would've drove head first in it. What a shame tho... I still think Style will smash regardless

That hasn't been a "thing" for a while now. She has performed at the AMAs and the Grammys in the same award season twice before.

As IF the Grammys wouldn't want the biggest star in the country on their show. Common sense seems to be lacking.

That happened in the 90s/early 2000s because Dick Clark was in Competition with the grammys, but this doesnt happen anymore.

Acting like she is some kind of promo machine. Its her usual routine to stop caring about the era next year after the release. Most likely turned the offer down because she just does not feel like performing. I really doubt that HDD was making stuff up when they said Grammy awards were hoping to add her.
