Have you ever had your wisdom teeth removed? How was your experience? Is it really a simple operation?

Nope and I REALLY hope I never do. I'm terrified of what I might say when I'm all drugged up.

I've seen my sister go through it and it was hell for her. Some pathogen got into the tooth or something, and it was sore for a week. Creepy

Yes. I had 3 taken out. They numbed my mouth really well so I couldn't feel ****. Doesn't hurt at all, it's just kinda scary because you can hear your teeth cracking and them pulling it so hard. Sounds like cement drilling by construction workers. They are so ****ing huge. They're like tha size of your thumbnail

Tha dentist said I had to get tha 4th taken out at tha hospital because it was to close to a nerve and if they hit it I could have brain damage and die. That was in 2010. Still haven't gotten it taken out. Just because you have them doesn't mean they need to be taken out, it all depends on how they're growing in your mouth as to if they can be a danger to you or not.

They prescribed me Vicodin for tha pain after and tha anesthesia wore off before I could pick it up and biitttcccchhhhh I cried so hard OMG. I had to yell at tha pharmacist and tell her ass to give me my meds like 2 hours early

It's more awkward and weird feeling than actually painful. I only got sick once the night after coming off of the substance they gave me to make me numb during the procedure. There's a lot of bleeding but it's not painful, just super annoying.

I was scared I'd come out when I was under the gas but although I was silly ur still fully conscious of what's right to say and what's not. So I never had that problem.

It was magical, I never felt any pain. I was trippin balls though. like it took about 5 seconds, time sped up tremendously in front of me, I was in space floating though the universe. So peaceful, I thought I died.

Yes, all four at the same time. I was under anesthesia so that was good. Apparently sometimes people only have the areas numbed but they are awake. I would find that traumatic, tbh. But recovery was a bit of a bitch. My dad had to pull over on the side of the road so I could puke on the way home. You have to be really careful about what you eat for a few days and be very detailed about cleaning so as to not get any food trapped in the wounds

I had 4 taken out a few years ago. It's not fun but its not that bad. You usually take valium or something like that the morning of, to keep you chilled out (it makes you feel like you've had a few glasses of wine tbh). Then they gave me some gas or whatever as anesthesia....I don't remember a thing tbh. I remember him putting the mask on me, and then waking me up saying I was done. Then I remember waking up on my couch in terrible pain, because I hadn't had any of the painkillers they prescribed yet since I had been asleep

The most frustrating part was not being able to eat real food for almost a week...I was getting kinda tired of smoothies and stuff and just wanted some good fulfilling food.....you kinda have to wait I guess until you can eat it comfortably and it doesn't hurt.

Honestly, its different for everybody. I've heard stories of people being fine the next day, and others getting infections and it taking a couple weeks to be good. I'm sure you'll be fine though.

Supposed to get them out in summer, but I'm going to flat-out refuse as long as they're not actually moving or hurting me. I don't do surgery, not when it's not necessary.

I had 4 taken out at once. I was awake the whole time and on laughing gas. It was as smooth as possible, no big deal at all.

I also got to keep them. I had no idea they were so big!

Strangely enough, I had 5 wisdom teeth and they just decided to leave one in there

I lost four wisdom teeth

2 for extraction, and 2 for surgery ... 4 the same day

the surgery not was painful because it was under local anesthesia.. but lasts one week after getting high with pure painkillers to sleep and endure the pain , and then take away the points a week with the Dr.

Bonus: I recommend you close your eyes (I did not and I regret ) see all those terrible instruments put in your mouth is death

Yes i had all 4 of them removed at the same time under sedation and local anesthetic it was fast and i was so drugged up i did't see, feel or hear anything.

It did't really hurt i had pain killers it was just annoying to change the cotton in my mouth cause of the blood and i could only hear soups and stuff for 2-3 days.

All four of mine are coming in straight (my dentist said I have a lot of room in my mouth ) so I don't know if I'll get them removed. Maybe in a year or so when they're completely in and they'd just be simple pulls. I don't want to worry about getting cavities back there.

The first 2 came out so easily and I didnt feel a thing.
But the last 2 -

I was crying and kicking. They kept trying to numb my mouth but I could still feel everything. It had something to do with my nerve. My face was swollen for about 4 days. Could eat or anything. AWFUL!

I had an x-ray done a couple years back + was supposed to get them removed then. Apparently if I let them grow in they would destroy my molars but nothing has happened yet, so...
