Try and stay as calm as possible and think through everything you're doing. Don't panic and make any rash decisions as a result. It's honestly easy, but most people panic and do something they know that they shouldn't. Just take your time the best you can and you will do it.

I passed mine in October and it was the most stressful thing ever. Make sure your doors are closed properly.

It's not as bad as the stories you hear. Just see it as a normal driving lesson but without the help of the instructor.

I think the two main tips I can give are:

Don't speak unless spoken to.
Stay calm. I stalled within 10 seconds of my test. I still passed.

Don't panic if you think you've made a mistake and think you've failed because you might be fine!

Passed mine first time. Just make sure you're constantly checking you mirrors, before, during and after any manoeuvre. Junctions, check and check again. They can only fail you for being unsafe. remember cyclists are not your friends.

Are UK tests different than American?

I've got told to expect 10 minutes of independent driving (examiner gives you directions and you drive), 1 or 2 manoeuvres (parallel parking, bay parking, reverse round corner & 3 point turn) and an emergency stop.

I would assume they are different since in the UK we have different junctions, roundabouts ect....

Only 10 minutes? pretty sure ours are like 30-45.

be extra cautious of pedestrians and other vehicles... make it obvious you're checking your mirrors etc.

ALWAYS look out on the roads for other cars and pedestrians. I passed first time but I was nearly failed during the first 5 minutes because I didn't see an oncoming car. The rest of the drive was perfect though so she allowed me to pass

I would recommend booking a lesson just before your test so like an hour before it. That way you can practice and get a feel for the road.

The whole test is about that long but the actual drive is split into sections.
1) Theory questions about the car + eyesight test (5 minutes)
2) Independent Driving (10-15 minutes)
3) Manouveres (5-10 minutes)
And the rest of the time is just driving about and seeing how good your driving is in general.

I've got 2 lessons this week and then am hour before the test.. had about 50 hours worth on and off for the past year and half though so hoping for the best!

I failed my theory twice before passing

Jesus, so damm easy. I had 40 minutes of independent driving, 5 manoeuvres during independent driving, reverse round corner and starting the car on the hill on a maneuvering square, preceded by checking all the lights, car cooler, oil reservoir and coolant reservoir And my mother is going on the driving course soon and her driving test will also have eco driving

My instructor told me about a girl who failed because she didn't close her door properly and I thought it was the dumbest thing ever. Then I did the same thing. Thankfully I still passed though.

Also be really dramatic checking your mirrors, if you just move you eyes they assume you didn't look at all.

That's good, literally keep telling yourself that it's just another car lesson. It'll help with your nerves. Also try and get along with the examiner as it can settle the nerves a little.

The theory for this one isn't hard at all! It's just one theory question like how do you check your tyre pressure and then one practical one like show me how you check your engine oil levels.

I passed first time in September. It was stressful because it took me so long to be able to sit a damn test. i failed my theory like three times before passing.

But eh - just concentrate and you'll be fine. Also, you might find you're luckier if you get a good examiner. I passed with like six minors, but the examiner told me to shut up in the middle of the test, since we were chatting and he said my driving was deteriorating. Like he literally told me to shut up.
