After seeing NONONO on your list, I was sure your #1 would be unique. I'm not into country, but I like Jamie Lynn, so it's a good #1. I enjoyed your list tho
Thank you very much! I really enjoyed presenting my own countdown and checking out yours too,
I hope you get into some country songs in 2015 Thank you for all of your comments!

Well deserved Jamie!
Sad the countdown is over, was a truly great one and was well spread out too See you in 2015!
Jamie and Kacey deserve to be the new queens of country music! They're both so talented,
I didn't mean for the Top 10 to be as spread out as it was
I finished the countdown about two weeks later than I had originally planned, but I got it done!
Thank you so much for all of the comments too!
I hope I have the time to devote to this again in 2015! I really enjoyed it,
Well, the #1 totally surprised me It's actually a really nice song, though.
The whole Top 6 >>>>>
Amazing countdown!
I thought it would surprise a lot of people, Surprised myself actually- Jamie, Tove, Tinashe, Cher, and Iggy/Charli were all in contention for the #1. Gwen would have been too if she had released Baby Don't Lie earlier.
I had a great time sharing my Top 100 Songs of 2014 (and 2013 ) with everyone for the past month and a half,
I really appreciate everyone's comments all the way through- I never imagined I'd get nearly 700 comments and over 8,000 views on my humble thread, my first ever Best of here on ATRL.
You've all been amazing, if not somewhat shady, but that's what I've come to expect from ATRL after all these years.
Creating a list of my year-end Top 100 songs is something I've done for quite a while, but I've never shared my lists like this before! Your support has been incredible,
I hope my Best of 2014 has given you all some new music for the new year, and perhaps even some new artists for you to stan for!
2015 has already gotten off to a great start, so I can't even imagine what else is on the horizon this year.
Don't forget to tune in to the ATRL Grammys, beginning with the pre-show today at 2:30pm EST in the Base section.
The ceremony starts at 3pm EST, and yours truly is presenting the awards for Best Rock Performance and Best Country Album!
I'm going to comment on this Best of since you've checked mine often.
A recap for the top songs of 2014.
Let me running through and then, say the ones I like to mention. Talking Body is so damn catchy, Pills N Potions is so good and a new soft side for Nicki. It may have flopped, but the video has reached 100 millions views so there's is a good amount here for this song. She Came To Give it to you is such a groove, Love Runs Out is such a stomping song, Maps, Chasing Time is a good jam, AM I Wrong is one of my summer jams, Rude is another, Jess' vocals are amazing in Right Here. Such a great soulful voice used in dance music.
We Could Be Heroes! Animals prey on another, I'm so happy, but don't mess with Ed's wild wild love, West Coast is full of lonely bliss, Shatter Me is an epic song that I should've listen often, Take Me to Life! Chandelier is great and so is the video. There's a remix with Kanye. Must check out. Disclosure's EDM production + Sam's soulful voice equal me latching onto Latch. All About That Big Ass! Hot video of Shaki/Rih. Bey and Nicki are flawless and fierce!
Dirt is so high. Unexpected. Tinashe and Tove Lo in the top 3 is good to see. Let's 2 On and stay high all the time. I don't feel like checking the #1 out. Great countdown tho. I've been missing a good Best of. Good job on your first try. ATRL Grammy? Well, the real ones has gone down, but I might swing by.

Thank you for taking the time to comment,
I love Jess Glynne's voice Chandelier remix with Kanye?! I had no idea.
waiT, you were talking about Drunk In Love, nevermind
I was surprised Dirt was a really decent song; definitely my favorite Florida Georgia Line song by far.
I'm so glad Tinashe and Tove broke through in 2014, new artists slaying me is always welcomed!
My final act in this thread will be commemorating my write-ups for the 2015 ATRL Grammys.
Best Rock Performance Introduction & Nominees
Announcer: "GotSkill has unfortunately gotten banned right before the ATRL Grammys were about to begin, so please welcome our last-minute replacements, rock legend Avril Lavigne and forgotten pop-rapper generic white male, as they present the ATRL Grammy for Best Rock Performance! Ignore the glitching graphic behind them though"
Avril: "Good afternoon, ATRLers, especially to my last remaining fans, the Avril Rangers! I would like to tell you to buy my new single "Fly" on iTunes, but Epic Records won't release it! #BeEpic"
Generic white male: "Here are the nominees for Best Rock Performance."
Arcade Fire - "Afterlife"
Generic white male: "Avril was drunk when she prepared her introduction for this nominee, Arcade Fire. Instead of introducing the actual nominee, "Afterlife," she described "Reflektor" in otherwise unspeakable sexual terms. I'll take this opportunity to present the correct nominee, and tell you that my next album, Pages, might come out someday. Perhaps, like the title of this Arcade Fire song, in the "Afterlife." Despite its heavy subject matter, "Afterlife" is a wholly enjoyable song with an intoxicating instrumental that verges on the influences of Haitian beats and disco."
Paramore - "Ain't It Fun"
Avril: "Some knockoff of myself and two dudes I would bang make up a rock band called Paramore. They've had some hits! Like this one! "Ain't It Fun" became Paramore's first top ten hit on the Billboard Hot 100 when it peaked at #10 for one week. How impressive! Will Paramore get their second consective victory in this category? Last year, Paramore took home this award with their previous single, "Still Into You.""
Sky Ferreira - "Boys"
Avril: "A young woman whose first name rhymes with the title of my new single is your next nominee. Sky Ferreira released Night Time, My Time in late 2013, around the time that I released my Avril Lavigne album. That's right, I was so inspired that I named my album after myself. I like Sky because she is a true punk-rock artist! I found this out just before her album release when she bailed herself out of jail, charging $1,500 on an American Express credit card. I wish I made that much on Epic Records!"
Fall Out Boy - "Centuries"
Avril: "Our next nominee is Fall Out Boy, who became relevant during my Under My Skin era, and have stayed relevant longer than I have, even with an extended hiatus. They have staying power that I only wish my husbands my career had! "Centuries" is the lead single off of their new album American Beauty/American Psycho, which they could have just as easily named after me by replacing 'American' with 'Canadian.'"
Arctic Monkeys - "Do I Wanna Know?"
Avril: "The music video for "Do I Wanna Know?" has over 140,000,000 views on Vevo, which is more than any of the music videos that I released for singles off of my latest self-titled album. Ever since I first heard "Do I Wanna Know?," whenever someone asks me if I want to hear about the state of my music career, I ask myself, "Do I wanna know?" and I don't! Here's to getting another divorce!"
Avril: "You know I can't resist the melodic sounds of a generic white male serenading me! I'll stay to present the award, but I still don't know why I'm not nominated in this category! I'M STILL ROCK N ROLL! I'M THE MOTHER****ING PRINCESS!
AND THE ****ING WINNER IS....!"
Best Rock Performance Winner
The ATRL Grammy for Best Rock Performance goes to "Do I Wanna Know?" by Arctic Monkeys!
When two of the members of Arctic Monkeys came up to the stage to accept the ATRL Grammy for Best Rock Performance, Avril was captured on a hot mic, saying to them: "Come backstage and I'll give you what you like..."
Pictured: Avril greeting two of the members of Arctic Monkeys, since the male members of Paramore she previously stated she would bang did not win the ATRL Grammy for Best Rock Performance.
Arctic Monkeys began to deliver their acceptance speech for their win in the Best Rock Performance category, but Avril seemed to spiral into a rage after the ATRL moderators reprimanded her for her cursing...
We interrupt the ATRL Grammys for a Breaking News bulletin from ATRL HQ.
Breaking News Correspondent DejaEntendu: "The ATRL Grammy for Best Rock Performance may have gone to Arctic Monkeys without a hitch, but a crisis erupted soon afterwards. Earlier tonight, Beyoncé arrived at the ATRL Grammys in her luxury automobile."
DejaEntendu: "In Avril Lavigne's state of rage after being denied a nomination in the Best Rock Performance category, witnesses claim that Avril hijacked Beyoncé's car from the high-security lot in which it had been parked. We've acquired footage of the aftermath of the meltdown."
DejaEntendu: "Witness Sia Furler claims to have seen the whole event take place.
Sia spoke to our Breaking News correspondent, Remmy, backstage at the ATRL Grammys." Sia: "It was horrifying! That spoiled brat thinks she deserves an ATRL Grammy for the tripe she's been releasing lately. If she wanted a Grammy, she would have released "Give You What You Like.""
DejaEntendu: "Our camera crew also caught up with Beyoncé. When asked about what she thought of Avril stealing her luxury automobile, Beyoncé appeared to speak directly to Avril, saying..."
DejaEntendu: "We will continue providing updates to this breaking news story. I'll be back later to present the ATRL Grammy for Best Country Album. Now back to the ATRL Grammys ceremony."
Best Country Album Introduction & Nominees
Good evening, ATRL members and, more importantly, the guests that keep the forum loading at a halt. For those of you who do not know me, my username is DejaEntendu, which just so happens to be the name of an album by a band named Brand New, which you can listen to or purchase on iTunes, Google Play, Amazon (a bargain for only $5 on Amazon's mp3 store ), on Spotify, or on YouTube.
On to the more important business of tonight, I am here to announce the winner of the ATRL Grammy award for Best Country Album! Hunter_13 presented this award last year, but he was banned, so I guess that a member who joined in 2010 and has less than 2,000 posts was the next best option. Since both members and guests are tuning out quickly on account of no one caring about this award, here are the nominees!
Lady Igloo Antebellum - 747
While they may be charting around #747 on iTunes with
their latest single, Lady Antebellum is still only
remembered for their 2010 #2-peaking single, “Need
You Now.” And we haven’t needed them since.
"Bartender" was a b0p though
Country threeway Lady Antebellum is nominated tonight with what I assume includes their 747th attempt at a hit crossover single, 747. Lady Antebellum, pictured below, arriving at the ATRL Grammys, looking like inbred siblings (especially the basic one on the left; but Hilary Scott is serving!).
Do they always stand in this formation? Is the one on the right always awkwardly staring at nothing into the distance?
Dolly Parton - Blue Smoke
The great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-
great-great-great-great-great-grandmother of country
music, Dolly Parton, dropped yet another posthumous
album in 2014. Titled Blue Smoke, it is presumably
named after the gaseous substance that occasionally
and inexplicably seeps out of Dolly Parton’s totally
authentic rack. Judging by the album cover, I'm not
wrong.

ATRL Grammys of 1699.

Cassadee Pope - Frame By Frame
Former pop-punk band frontwoman Cassadee Pope is
now a country artist! In 2013, Cassadee released her
debut album, Frame By Frame. Despite winning the
third season of The Voice, Cassadee still only sold
43,000 copies of Frame By Frame in its first (and
only) frame on the Billboard 200. She is still the most
successful winner of The Voice. We invited Cassadee
Pope to present an award tonight after country
chanteuse Jamie Lynn Spears had to drop out following
the unfortunate revelations of her knife-weilding incident,
but Cassadee showed up at the wrong awards show
(see photo on the right). Cassadee's mistake is very
understandable because NASCAR and ATRL are very
much alike: both are dominated by hormonal males who
care far too much about winning worthless trophies.
Why is Cassadee giving me teas of a teenager speaking
at the Model U.N. in this picture though?
Miranda Lambert - Platinum
With inspired song titles such as “Bathroom Sink” and
“Old ****,” Miranda Lambert released her fifth album,
which also has an inspired title, Platinum. Platinum
has yet to scan platinum, so maybe a more appropriate
title would have been Gold.Old **** isn’t a bad
name for this an album, either.
In case of emergency, Miranda's singing body double is
prepared to stand in for her at tonight's event.
Stand, but not perform. Don't get your hopes up.
Eric Church - Take Me to Church The Outsiders
I had to do a double take because this is
ATRL, and Eric Church is a male country artist,
nominated for an ATRL Grammy, but he is not
Luke Bryan. All I can say is that he must be
hungover all the time since he’s never been
seen without sunglasses. Not that I can blame
him with his career in country music.
ATRL is unfortunately too poor to give out actual
awards this year, so all winners will receive
certificates similar to ones below that Eric
Chuch won at another awards show.

Best Country Album Winner
Miranda Lambert - Platinum wins the ATRL Grammy for Best Country Album!
Miranda Lambert photographed at the moment of her victory, being blessed by Lady Gaga herself!
Miranda Lambert seems to have brought her own award up to the stage instead of accepting her ATRL Grammy paper certificate! What a slap in the face to the ATRL community.
Miranda was swiftly pulled from the stage due to this stunt. However, Gaga assisted her with a costume change, and before Miranda was dragged away, she had one thing to say:
As Miranda was dragged, she unfortunately dropped the phallic award she had brought to the ATRL Grammys ceremony. Luckily, Miranda Lambert's singing body double picked up the award and was able to finish Miranda's acceptance speech.
and with that, the body double Miranda wandered off the stage, left the building, and was abducted by aliens to finally begin the promotion for the third single off Britney Miranda Jean, the leaked demo verison of "Alien."
Let's take a look at some audience reactions of Miranda winning the ATRL Grammy Award for Best Country Album.
Our camera crews caught up with Cassadee Pope outside of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Awards. Cassadee, visibly distraught over missing the ATRL Grammys, is Wasting All These Tears over this tragic loss. Cassadee is also crying because her idol, Canadian Beauty/Canadian Psycho Avril Lavigne, has just been arrested on charges of being a public nuisance damaging public property, and heinous cultural appropriation for her overtly racist "Hello Kitty" music video..
Back in the audience, Kacey Musgraves is very impressed!
Country singer Luke Bryan is very impressed as well, and Miranda's husband Blake Shelton appears to be in awe at his wife's win! Country is such a close-knit community,
As you can see, ATRL has also partnered with Shazam to give all members the chance of a lifetime to get Ariana Grande to record your voicemail message! Contact ATRL member MiMiLamb a.k.a. Frankie Grande for more details.
