Why don't "Can" and " Can't" sound different when people speak?

The "T" in can't is sometimes inaudible when spoken (most times, English speakers don't enunciate every letter, so they sound similar).

A lot of people are lazy when it comes to speaking the English language so the words tend to sound mushy sometimes. They should really teach enunciation better in schools.

I hate when people can't communicate properly through writing. Like, how stupid do you need to be to make some of the mistakes that I see?

One of the worst is when people use "should of" in place of "should've." Just the worst!!! I feel bad for people who are that stupid.
