All these hating Beyonce stans need to GTFO this thread. Aaliyah was more successful than Destiny's Child. They had bigger hits but Aaliyah was overall more successful. Yall be forgeting "Try Again" was the first song to go #1 on the Hot 100 just based on airplay. She gave Missy and Timbaland a career. Without her they would be nothing. When Ciara first came out everybody said she was trying to be Aaliyah and she even said Aaliyah influenced her. If she was out today Ciara would be a nobody, Beyonce wouldn't be as famous. "Promiscuous Girl" sound just like "Are YounThat Somebody". Aaliyah album is one of the best R&B albums to come out in this decade and a lot of artists tryed to jack her style. They can't compare to the original.
