Most retail stores, if someone looks suspicious, associates will call for a security scan. Most assoiates are also supposed to ask customers if they found everything alright,to deter from this type of thing. From experience, the MOST targeted areas of a supermarket are the Meat department,Beer aisle,Baby aisle, and Health/Beauty aisle (Boosters). Some people are OBVIOUS when they try to steal (Some are really blunt and run out the door).Others, not so much. Some thieves like to use the U-scan lanes since one could easily put two things in the bag when they're usually supposed to only put one item in)
And yes one could be amazed at how many white people do the stealing.
Many retailers use the front sidewalk as the point where the associates aren't supposed to follow
It's also recommended that bags of merchandize from other stores and backpacks be left at the counter.I don't do that all the time though. And I haven't had LP go after me for it.
