I'd say this is a good move. Yes, Chris definitely helped give her some "push" with No Air, but he didn't give her a career. American Idol gave her a career and she has just made the right choices since then.
I don't get why people arguing about Ciara tho? I mean, yeah she was big with "Goodies" and "1,2 Step" but I didn't really follow her after that. All I remember about her since then were those silly (hopefully) hermaphrodite rumors... and plus, isn't she on a song with Justin Timberlake now? Sounds to me like she needed that same "push" Jordin needed. A much bigger push actually.
