The GP's view of bieber is that he's a spoiled douchebag, sorry it just is, he was never really liked outside of his fans just because but with the media's focus on the house egging, the peeing in a janitors bucket, the arrest, the reports of reckless driving basically everything bad he's done that's been splashed on CNN, Access Hollywood, blasted in Facebook posts have made the public dislike him even more.
His team is doing damage control with all of these Ellen appearances (is it 3 already this year?) She's one of the most watched daytime shows and one of the most loved celebrities so they're using that to try and make him seem more likable with mostly moms and older adults. The comedy central roast is to show young adults that he's cool by showing that he can take being made fun of mercilessly with the hope that we'll say he's a good sport and warm up to him.
I feel like this should've been done last year, when it would've been sincere. They're only doing this this year because he has an album coming out and don't want it to be a failure because people don't like him.
