How do you know they're underwater? They didn't even find parts of the plane or something.

MTE is it possible the plane got lost in clouds, took a wrong turn and is still flying around? Maybe it went too high. Or maybe they landed down in the wrong place, like a desert island, a jungle or Antartica.

If the government really stops the search, I hope an investor/several investors will come forward and provide funds so it can continue. It would be extremely important to know what happened to the plane, not just for relatives but also for aviation. The search for AF447's wreckage went on for two years or so and what we found out in the end was worth it, important lessons were learnt. We can't just give up like that.
