This episode is from the original Japanese anime. They showed this in the English anime, except they cut out almost half the original scene because it was too violent.

But the last episode of the original English anime, they combined the last two episodes (of the Japanese anime) into one. It was completely rushed.

I've never understood why this was felt to be too violent?
You don't even really see much happen to her, I've seen much worse deaths in animes!
