This song is really pure and happy sounding and yeah his smooth ultra-tenor voice just kinda slays me. I feel like I should be dorkily clapping along. This is Kishi Bashi's most famous song. You may recognize him from the last update but there's a lotttt more coming from him. Both of his albums, 151a and Lighght, really blew me away. [He's not #1, however!]
I have no idea how I ended up listening to this so much but w/e. Little Dragon's lead singer, Yukimi Nagano (she's not black surprise!!!1!!1) has a very unique and soulful voice and the rest of Little Dragon provides interesting background but something about how the song was recorded just sounds tinny and empty.

Endangered Species is such a ****ing cool song and I love that Esperanza Spalding did a cover of it because it fits her so well. It's musically crazy and there's so much cool stuff going on. Plus Esperanza and Lalah Hathaway sound great on it and it's pretty catchy. If all you know about Esperanza is that she won that Grammy over Justin Bieber I would suggest listening to her discog, it has some real gems.
This is a great song to start listening to Sufjan Stevens with because it's very easy to handle and simple. While the rest of Age of Adz is crazy and chaotic, this song is like the eye of the storm, a break from the madness. This song gets stuck in your head endlessly. Not my favorite song but it captures a very different side of Sufjan.
I know a lot of artists are repeating but not much slayed me this year.
The higher we go in the countdown, the more diversity there will be! Only one artist has two songs in the top ten and only four artists have two or more songs in the top twenty.
Since this section is closing soon, I would just like to thank everyone who commented on this and especially those of you who listened to some of the music, it was a very fulfilling experience. I'm sorry I didn't stick through with this, to be honest I just didn't feel like spamming other people's Best Ofs to get posts in mine.
