LOVE LOVE LOVE Do It Again, Hideaway, Pretty Hurts, Yellow Flicker Beat, Summer, Break the Rules and Love Me Harder.
From the albums: Queen of the Clouds, 1000 Forms of Fear (although Dressed In Black worst track? ), and I must listen to The Pinkprint, LOVE "Truffle Butter" and "Shanghai". But 'Sheezus' being Lily best album... no. Just no.
Honestly, TRF.

@Already Gone/SO.UNCOOL™: Only 1 thing to comment on when I posted so much
@Bloomers: ddd yas slay that long-winded comment Hopefully you enjoyed that masterpiece CF My favorite film of all time. Get caught up on that + 2014 music!
@K$Ellie: Unfortunately that artwork is fanmade. Yas, I prefer Chains as well.
@ASF: Summer is in my top 5 of Motion but chh it ain't tha best! I think TASM was better than the 2nd, #2 just had a few too many flaws to be superior.
@THERihFan: The random negativity.

 | #6 Maleficent
Grade: A-
Starring: Angelina Jolie, Elle Fanning
RT: 49% | IMDB: 7.1/10 | MC: 56%
Release Date: May 30th, 2014
Mini Review: Before seeing this, I thought it was going to be very dark, gloomy and not really my type of film. I also thought it would be potentially overrated, as it unexpectedly scored massively in the box office. Luckily I easily fell in love with Maleficent, as Jolie perfectly maneuvers the film with her performance and keeps things interesting as well as captivating. It's pretty simple, but entertaining and effective. |
 | #5 22 Jump Street
Grade: A-
Starring: Channing Tatum, Jonah Hill
RT: 84% | IMDB: 7.2/10 | MC: 71%
Release Date: June 13th, 2014
Mini Review: This was definitely the best comedy of the year. Arriving two years after its predecessor, 22 Jump Street manages to actually eclipse its original by having more laugh-out-loud moments, some well-done action and sticking to the script while completely changing the game. The duo of Channing and Jonah is a highlight, but the fact that this flick doesn't take itself seriously is part of why it's so brilliant. |

22 Jump Street was a disappointment for me. Channing Tatum is STILL just a good-looking guy and nothing else.

I wish Shakira's album was higher than #28
Into the Blue, Break the Rules, Human, Love Me Harder, and Really Don't Care
I wish Reclassified and Sorry I'm Late could have made the Top 20 too
imo Reclassified is much stronger and flows a lot better than The New Classic,
Baby Don't Lie at #80! and 5 Seconds of Summer
Queen of the Clouds, Sheezus, and The Pinkprint
Black Widow, Unconditionally, Sirens, and Jealous In the Lonely Hour, My Everything, and Aquarius

@DejaEntendu: Reclassified is nice but they included some weaker songs like Rolex and took out my bigger faves like 100 and Just Askin'.
@Cute: Yas it was nice

Grade: A-
Starring: Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson
RT: 89% | IMDB: 7.8/10 | MC: 70%
Release Date: April 4th, 2014
Mini Review: Following the underrated Captain America: The First Avenger in 2011, Marvel brings out another well-done film this year and truly brings Cap to the forefront of superheroes. With the slayful Black Widow at his side, both of them shine bright and pleasure us with a nice plot, flawlessly executed action sequences and just full-on entertainment that'll soon lead us to Age of Ultron. |
 | #3 Frozen
Grade: A
Starring: Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff, Josh Gad (voices)
RT: 89% | IMDB: 7.7/10 | MC: 74%
Release Date: November 27th, 2013
Mini Review: This was released at the end of 2013 but obviously had major impact in 2014, plus it was the year when I actually saw it. This was an adorable movie and definitely put out my doubts that I was too old for animation. The voice cast is amazing, the soundtrack gets your toes tapping, the dialogue is nice and not too childish, and it's just very fun and sweet to the core. |

I had a similar perspective going into Maleficent. As if I wasn't hesitant enough about Disney trying to bring an iconic animated character to life, the hype train and sinister appeal of the commercials really drained me of any excitement. However, as you mentioned, Robert Stromberg and Jolie really brought it with this movie and delivered something that was truly mesmerizing and exciting. Although, I do feel like there were a few parts when the narrative lost a sense of direction, and the writer derived the character from her roots a bit too much (like, I get that they wanted to give her a lighter side but why did she come off as a prankster more than Disney's most feared villain ) Still, a nice movie with some great visuals.
Frozen really does have a way of bringing back childlike joy and excitement through animated media, doesn't it? Given, I have loved pretty much every Disney movie released ever, but Frozen is something else and is really special. The movie takes the traditional royal formula and adds a certain, spark. It was clear from the initial trailers that Disney was looking to make this movie a little more gender neutral than say, BATB and that worried me at first, but it was executed really well. Just an instant classic, and I honestly don't trust anyone who says otherwise.
I haven't seen 22 Jump Street, and Captain America: The Winter Soldier didn't really do a whole lot for me, mainly because I'm not a fan of superheros.
Lucy honestly let me down a bit, just because I had EXTREMELY high expectations after seeing the trailer and was expecting something innovative. However, I absolutely loved how fast-paced the movie was and Besson's ability to grip an audience was really showcased here. It was an entertaining film, not bad by any means.
Even though superhero movies aren't my thing, something about The Amazing Spider-Man 2 really did it for me. Maybe it was the thrill of watching it on YouTube for free after Sony China accidentally uploaded it or how great Andrew looked, but I found myself thoroughly enjoying the film. Well put-together cast, great writing and tons of action. [insert something about women being used as token deaths to develop male characters. #feminism]
I was EXTREMELY unsure about Guardians of the Galaxy at first, but after one of the hosts of a podcast I follow (Lou Mongello @ a WDW Radio roundtable, I believe) started praising it to the high Heavens, I decided to give it a fair chance and was quite impressed. Again, not really captured by the superhero story and whatnot, but the visuals were stunning and I really enjoyed some of the action sequences.
