Yulia Volkova has just announced that after the release of t.A.T.u.'s 3rd English studio album "Happy Smiles" she is going to leave t.A.T.u. and start a career in the US.

She says: "I'm busy with our 3rd album, but I've already recorded some new tracks with Lady GaGa for my future solo album, which is set to be released in 2010."

it's an english song on their 3rd Russian album, which is on iTunes now. It hasn't been said if it'll be on the 3rd English album, but they'd be fools if they didn't include it. Anyways, I don't know how true this is, being it's from a Gaga fansite (I looked on t.A.T.u.'s forum and everywhere else and no one has mentioned anything)

Hmm, This is bitter sweet news. Technically, Yulia has been the majority of t.A.T.u so I'd love to see her try for success in the US, but Lena still brings her own style to the music, and I'd be disappointed if that's lost.

Also, Happy Smiles is highly underrated. White Robe, You And I, 220, Running Blind, Fly on the Wall and Vremya Luny are great tracks.
