To those who can't hear the similarity, "Well I won't back down, no I won't back down" is the same melody as "Won't you stay with me, cuz you're all I need".
Very classy of Sam. I highly doubt he intentionally copied the song or anything, it just happened to come out sounding similar.
Yeah all of this. It was probably just a song he liked a child and didn't realise it was the same melody when writing it - it had to come from somewhere after all. Very gracious of him
Well, it's not like it's a particularly special or unique melody. I would have never made a connection between the two on my own. A bit of a stretch, perhaps.
