Whether the Bible is a book of hate is irrelevant. The reason that this bill is stupid is because by making the Bible the official state book, you are ignoring the entire concept of
separation of church and state, which is one of the most important tenets of this country. By making a Christian holy book official, it is discriminatory towards every other religion and towards atheists and agnostics. I am not trying to sound hyper politically correct here, but this is ridiculous. As an atheist, I take huge offense.
