imo yt views are only valid when used to compare videos released prior to 2005 as that is really a measure of memorability and how many people are still checking for those songs. YT views aren't really valid when used to compare songs released recently. (ie. CRTFY having almost 500k views).

They also serve to compare views from videos that are a few years old. Obviously you cannot compare a hit that was just released with a 2009 song, but when you realize You Belong With Me is charting higher than other 2009 hits that ATRL considers memorable, then you realize Taylor´s hits are actually checked by the public!
