Apparently someone left a dog in a hot car and a good Samaritan took it upon himself to break the car window and save the animal.

What do you think of this situation?

The nerve of them just taking the dog like that and I hope they plan on paying for that window.

Only the Lord can decree an act of humanity self righteous or not.

A baby is way more important than a dog so it's completely different.

If it was sweating then clearly it would've been in there for a long time so I would just call the police (and ask them if I should break the window or wait).

Do we even know how long the dog was left in the car? For all this person knows the owner could've just popped into a shop for 5 minutes, yes she should've left the window down (even I know to do that and I don't even have a dog) but I don't think it's right for them to break into their property and take the dog away.

Some people do the absolute most.

Too many unknowns, was a window cracked, did the dog have water, how hot was it and how long did this person wait by the car before deciding to steal the dog? If the dog is clearly in distress then I can see someone trying to save it.

The only time my dog is in the car is when I take her to the vet or to the dog park to play with her dog friends but sometimes I stop at a store for a few minutes. She always has water and windows open for air and I always try to park in the shade.
