yes, the industry is sexist as hell, but when it all comes down to it, carrie outsells most of the guys even without the CMA backing her up and trying to make her into a thing, and without her label supporting her on the radio. they can have their #1 radio "hits" and the 5 dollars they made out of selling 90k copies while carrie will laugh all the way to the bank.

they can't break her down as much as they try. she's one of the most well known mainstream artists while her peers can only manage to win awards at stupid rigged country awards. i'm sure she's really upset her song didn't get to #1 when she got to star in TSOM live, is up for her 7th grammy award, keeps getting invited to major events to represent country music... that's all carrie ever wanted, and she has that.
