A radio deal? Radios didn't seem to be warned about the release of the song and if so, it doesn't mean anything.
Rihanna would've never announced the song that way if it was the lead single. Once again, it was originally Kanye & Paul's song and she was then added to it.
i'm all for evolving and trying different things and i am okay with this sound but the song itself is mediocre. kiss it better snippet also sounds mediocre, promised snippet sounds extremely bad, i am putting all my hopes into the mitus song tbh

She's growing. She's experimenting. This is an actual good song. The simple guitar with the organ, the rasp in her voice, the rawness of her vocals.
Just because it's a simple song doesn't make it a bad song.
Just because it's different it doesn't mean it's a good song.
I'm all here for artistic growth, but this new song is straight up bad. There's no other way to put it. The only thing good about it are her A+ vocals.
