Lawd...I don't want to turn this into another "Alex or Leona" thread, but that's probably inevitable.

Anyway, I actually think Alex/Akon could produce a hot song. "Forgive Me" was some watered down ****, because Leona can't really do uptempos well, so they had to come up with something vaguely "uptempo" that fitted her operatic style. Leona and Akon were always going to be a bad fit. She can't sing the type of songs he typically makes.

Alex, on the other hand, excels on uptempos. Akon could actually produce a club banger for her, and she could sell it.

If they end up with "Forgive Me: Part 2", they shouldn't bother wasting their money. But I have higher expectations for Alex/Akon than Leona/Akon.

Forgive Me is a hot mess. Burke can do upbeats tho, there's a difference

Leona has already worked with Akon on her first album (he produced the tepid "Forgive Me").

Akon is a producer, not just an artist. New artists work with producers (hopefully good ones). There's no indication that Akon is doing any sort of "duet" with Burke. He's probably just producing, like he did with Leona.

I don't think Alex is relying on big name collabo duets just yet. That's what the winners of American Idol do, not X -Factor (ie, Jordin Sparks ft Chris Brown on No Air).

I think Forgive Me is a good uptempo song of Leona . Wait , i think she will had some uptempo track in her 2nd Album !!!

********.FM wasnt writen for Leona.Claude Kelly wrote Forgive Me and he actually hated the song himself so it was bined,untill Leona heard the demo and took it upon herself to record it because she loved it so much.then it was sent to Akon to produce and he done an excellent job on that IMHO.
Leona can sing uptempos amazingly IMO.
