I think Rihanna would be a good candidate

I'm quoting my opinion.
P!nk is also much more versatile as a performer than Rihanna, but that's my opinion as well.
And So What and Just Give Me A Reason are HUGE hits.
She also has Raise Your Glass which is as big as some popgirls their biggest hits, and ****ing Perfect and Get The Party Started, Trouble, and Stupid Girls. All big hits.
She has the perfect pop-rockstar catalog which would click well with football fans. At least, that's my opinion.

Rihanna has a huge back catalogue of instantly recognizable #1 smash hits. So, she's the best option.

How does P!nk not have enough smash hits to headline? "There You Go", "Most Girls", "Lady Marmalade", "Get the Party Started", "Don't Let Me Get Me", "Just Like a Pill", "Family Portrait", "Stupid Girls", "Who Knew", "U + Ur Hand", "So What", "Sober", "Please Don't Leave Me", "Glitter in the Air", "Raise Your Glass", "F**kin' Perfect", "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)", "Try", and "Just Give Me a Reason" were all hit singles.... Not to mention she's probably the best performer out of all of the major pop acts in the industry today. She's the perfect choice for the Superbowl Halftime Show next year.

Rihanna, Coldplay and P!nk should do it at some point.

I want setlist like this:
Get The Party Started
Raise Your Glass
So What
cover of What's Up from 4 Non Blondes
God is a DJ/Trouble
There You Go/Most Girls
I don't think mid-tempo/ballads are sutiable for this kind of show. It's sad cuz they're stronger part of P!nk's discography.
Maybe she should just end it with Glitter in the Air performance.

I agree! She has the full package. I've never understood the lack of appeal for ha. I think she'd actually do amazing as a HTS performer at some point. Many people underestimate her and she'd take so many people by surprise! And like you said, she's extremely versatile

Coldplay or Eminem could do next year (in my vision)!! I think 2 pop girls in a row won will help the show! I think P!nk can do this in 2017, cuz she's amazing live and have an amazing discografy with big hits!!

I bolded the songs that the Superbowl age / gender demographic might even slightly recognize upon listening. 2.5 songs are not enough.
Most pop girs excluding Rih have 2, 3 or at most 4 truly memorable hits though, so I'm not shading her.

Funny, that's one of the reasons she'd be perfect.
Katy's team confirmed that the retractable stadium roof will be used which means P!nk can indeed do her iconic acrobatic routines in a stadium.

The Superbowl is held in a different stadium every year, some with roofs and some without. She really doesn't need an enclosed stadium to give a great performance.

I don't think 'memorable hits' matter if Beyoncé can perform Run The World, End Of Time, Baby Boy, Love On Top at the Super Bowl

But it's a stadium...there isn't a ceiling for her to do the ribbon thing with?

No Coldplay or Jay-z are more fitted.

Meh. It should be the Foo Fighters or something. Getting tired of all these pop girls doing it, especially ones that don't deserve it/aren't capable of even putting on a great show.

Pink has:
Get The Party Started
Just Like A Pill
So What
Glitter In The Air
Raise Your Glass
Perfect
Blow Me One Last Kiss
Try
Just Give Me A Reason
Lady Marmalade
And don't speak for the GP, speak for yourself. The GP would probably be more familiar with Pink's hits than Xtina's.
