I have upgraded my SIM only contract to a Samsung Galaxy S5 at £28 a month on O2 and I just want to know if you are on a contract and how far in are you with it and whether you think it's worth it or not.

How did you get that deal, mine is only 500 minutes, Unlimited texts and 500MB of data as that's all I'll use.

5 months ago with EE. That's the lowest/cheapest deal that was available at the time (think the handset was fairly new?)

Btw it was £39.99 p/m until I phoned last week and asked for a better deal, they refused, so I then lied about one of the managers telling me there would be an option to downgrade after 6 months in-store. They then issued a £5 discount p/m.

Does anyone find it hard to pay for their bill, because I was on a SIM only plan and had a few hiccups but I didn't miss any payments, I got the payments in eventually but O2 just held them back a week for me to get the money, I was only 8 months into the SIM only plan and I just thought why not upgrade, I was paying £31.18 for my bill anyway as I was buying stuff with Bill my Phone, my mum is giving me £100 every month and £150 starting from May so I will have enough to pay for it as I am on DLA and it's in my name but she gets it for me.

It can be problematic managing your payments and then amount of money coming in, especially when it involves benefits. Everyone has trouble managing money, but it's just simply about working out what you actually need and what you want.

I've spent over £1,000 this month (excluding rent) and have little to show for it. I feel sick just thinking about it

Anyway, you've proven you can manage the bill by paying £31.18 for 8 months, so I'm sure you'll manage £28 p/m.

DLA is £80 every month or something, right? (depending on components). Not sure if it differs from England & N. Ireland.

I didn't pay £31.18 for the whole 8 months, I only paid £31.18 for the month of December and this month, the other months were between £15-£20 p/m and my mum gets my DLA not me, btw don't take this as me being rude, the way I've written may sound rude, but I can assure you it isn't.

I've wasted £280 hardship fund from my F.E. college which I got on the 17th of December.

Nope. Postpaid (though I'm not on a contract). AT&T is my carrier.
