Thanks, bae.
I'm legitimately shocked at SIO. Then again, it's still above 75M AI and has been for months

While "Wake Me Up" was a big hit, the song was nowhere near the size of a smash as "Party Rock Anthem," which ranks just behind it, or "Radioactive", which is all the way down at #39. How was this chart compiled, and how were the points earned? Because while "Wake Me Up" deserves a place in the rankings for the decade, the Avicii/Aloe Blacc collaboration does not belong in the Top 10, Top 20, or even the Top 30 when compared to some of the giant smashes ranked far below their song. Also, "Royals," "All Of Me," "Dark Horse," "Counting Stars," and so many monster hits outside of the Top 10 bigger in every category when "Wake Me Up" almost made the Top Five? Something seems strange here.

Wake Me Up was actually as big as Party Rock Anthem was. In fact, Wake Me Up had better peaks globally than Party Rock Anthem did. And Radioactive just cant compete with the other two. Sure, it was a big hit, but nowhere near PRA and WMU!
Here you have detailed chartruns for the songs on several important markets:
Wake Me Up: http://acharts.us/song/78800
Party Rock Anthem: http://acharts.us/song/60819
Radioactive: http://acharts.us/song/72290
Regarding Dark Horse, All Of Me, Counting Stars and Royals, they were all huge hits globally, but Wake Me Up had way better peaks and insane longevity when compared to them!

Ugh @ Carly and Kimbra being back to back in the top 5.
Summer 2012 truly was the pinnacle of music history. It's all downhill from there.

I realize now you are talking about global hits. I am going off of how big the songs were in the US, and Rock sells poorly outside of North America (it sells pretty poorly here too right now honestly).
