Not really every situation is though? I mean, most of ATRL, for example, is Celebria / Charts / Base / Music News. Most political discussion only takes place in the Lounge.
There's lots of sites devoid of political dialog, actually, particularly ones devoted to certain entertainment media.

ATRL isn't just a music forum tho. Tbh it's been more just an entertainment forum for years with a focus on music, and the Lounge has been around for ages.

There are plenty of conservatives on the internet, what about all the reddit/4chan guys who are in constant war with the tumblr politcal correctness police?
ATRL is overwhelmingly liberal yes, but its a forum full of gays what did you expect? Even moderate gays are rare in my experience, let alone conservative.
