Does ATRL have a mob-ish bully-ish mentality?

against fan bases? yes. especially against artists like Jesse J or Demi. Those threads are constantly filled with warning points.

I think certain individuals on here have a bully mentality. It either comes from a place of insecurity, or they're projecting whatever's going on in their actual life onto other members/artists/fan bases. I think bullying is a lot more cyclical than people think. It's not a game of "cat vs. mouse" or "victim vs. perpetrator." Often bullies are bullied themselves. So if someone on ATRL is bullying an artist or a fan-base, they themselves are probably getting bullied at school. And the guy who's bullying them at school is probably getting bullied at home by his dad. It's a cycle.

Then you take members like Retro and Meowster who seem to be really well-rounded individuals who are really happy in all aspects of their life. They literally never do it. They never say anything bad or mean about another member/artist/fan base because they have no need to.

I've been guilty of it in the past. If I've had a **** day or I've been upset, I've come on to ATRL and projected it on to an artist or a fan base I don't particularly like. Most of us have. If you're going to point the finger, at least look in the mirror as well.

Absolutely. If I post a picture of a trophy buck or a new rifle I just get nasty comments thrown at me children.

I think some people are trolling, some fit in to what you are saying and some are just very opinionated.

For the most part people are sweet here. However, there are some individuals who probably need to be institutionalized

I see nothing wrong with some harmless stan wars... it's just when it gets personal, that's when the bully mentality comes into play.

I wouldn't say bullying as a whole. I'd say immature as a whole. Perfectly valid discussion threads get closed for no other reason than because the topic "might" lead to some crap. Instead of banning any members who partake in the crap, the thread is closed. Not deleted like one would expect from something taboo or off limits. But this site has a large percentage of minors who don't know better and have to be "shielded" from certain things.

I would say the only fan bases that get bullied are the ones that push their fave on the rest of us daily. Even though most of the world has moved on from said artist or artists
