The music of this decade has been boring and generic. The music in the 90s was so good but after 2000, it changed. The music industry changed for the worse after the deaths of Tupac, Biggie, and Aaliyah. I wish somebody could bring back 90s R&B and Hip-Hop.

Those songs are classic. I think it's her definitive album..it's Kelis. Extremely innovative..not to mention she was at her best vocally..the soul..ugh. That album was sick..plus..Little ****ing Suzie!

Kelis Was Here deserved the Best R&B Album Grammy in 2006..... KWH ******* on B'Day. Her most diverse yet cohesive album. I need to find her unreleased/bonus tracks.

Yeah KWH was robbed of that grammy...but I was sooo happy she got the nod.

I love KWH though. "Aww ****" and "Goodbyes" are my cuts..the album came out when i started dating people..so some of the songs i don't listen to cuz they remind me of stuff..but i think i'll listen to "Like You" even tho it reminds me of someone

Kelis was here is kelis worst album and is not as eclectic as tasty! Bday ***** on this on so many level, it s one of the best album ever made and should have get grammy for album of the year

kelis was here was so disappointin the only from her i didnt buy, they were many songs thats sounds like bad neptunes copies! she should stay with pharrell, he knows how to use her voice!

Aaliyah made a huge impact on 90s R&B with the One In A Million album. After, it came out everybody tried to copy her style. Tupac was more poetic and artistic than Nas. Pac made you think, cry, and have a good time. Tupac died 12 and a half years ago and people still talk about him like he's alive. He made a huge impact on the music industry and he's the greatest rapper of all time... imo. Biggie and Nas are equal. They're both one of the Top 5 dead or alive best rappers.

I'd have to disagree with you on two fronts.

1.) No one copied Aaliyah. The 90s was perfect tin that aspect..all of the major artists had their own sound.

2.) Pac was, but Nas now definitely kills Pac back then, and Big is overrated.

^ A lot of R&B singers copied her style from One In A Million and the Timbaland Sound. Let's agree to disagree (but I do agree that Biggie is somewhat overrated).Okay?

Kelis Was Here has pop, salsa, country, rock, soul, R&B and everything else you could imagine. Tasty is pretty much a straight up R&B album with other influences in the mix..... I always recommend that album to casual fans of Kelis. Anyways.... I'm not gonna battle opinions but B'Day being one of the greatest albums of all time is purely SUBJECTIVE aka utter ********.

Artistically, "B'Day" has nothing on "Kelis Was Here". BUT that doesn't determine what's the better album..."B'Day" is a classic.

Should be interesting! Kelis Was Here had a few good songs but I found it to be a step down from her previous work.

Her first album is still her best, in my opinion. Great, fresh productions by the then-starting out Neptunes... and she had more of a voice back then.
