I like the ability to pop open a screen and watch movies anywhere. I think it needs to be less bulky but it's not Google Glass, this is going to be for home and productivity.

I think it would also be very cool to be able to pop up midi devices like a virtual Push for Ableton.

Yes it's real. Win10 will have support for it. They are pretty far along in the development, what they need to add though is the ability to grab or grip and object in space and move it like you would grab a cup.

Win10 introduces DirectX 12 and most video cards that are new are already supporting it. According to what I have been reading DirectX 12 will also reduce power consumption in half over DirectX 11.

It's just a matter of the game developers using it. It's a balancing act developers have to play when they do this. They want their games to work on the most PC's as possible but also want it to look great at the same time. No one wants to create a game that 25% of the people can play.

So basically it's going to look as good as they want to look provided your card can handle it. If not like most games you just have to turn down the settings or go buy a better GPU.
