"Friends" might be the "Macarena" of the TV-world (although "Macarena" was a global song whereas "Friends" is mainly only really huge in the Anglosphere) but Ani herself? Slowly but surely becoming an afterthought.
According to Billboard Boxscore, 105 dates of the Prismatic tour have grossed $146 million, with 1.37 million KatyCats in attendance. Compare that to 105 dates of the California Dreams tour, Perry's international run supporting Teenage Dream, which grossed $52 million and had an attendance of 1.08 million.
That extra $94 million more than makes up for the difference in album sales between Teenage Dream and Prism.
But that's the point: even a flawed Katy Perry release has been bulldozing, another comfortable victory to follow a blowout win. Perry has once again slapped commercial stratospheres that other artists would kill to graze

Once again, ScarHoe is not a main attraction for Avengers. She barely had 3 seconds of screentime in the trailer in total for God's / Jolie's sake! The delusions. And wow, most Ani supporters really are Katy fans. I guess some people are just always attracted to safe, vanilla local crap. Although Ani lasted for a decade while Katy is already on the decline / experiencing her BTW era.

@ToLove On a global scale, only Angelina will be remembered out of all the females from today's entertainment industry. If Gaga ever makes a comeback, which she won't since she lacks the talent, beauty, and vision, then her as well. Taylor, Miley & Bey will be remembered as well but on a more local scale. But I feel like a new artist is about to emerge in 5 years who will be the biggest singer since MJ.
It's funny how Prism is supposedly Katy's BTW era but I don't remember BTW having 2 number ones, I don't remember it spawning any memorable singles, I don't remember Gagz doing the Superbowl during the era, and I don't remember Katy doing anything to permanently damage her image to the GP this era.
I usually disagree with JL, but he's right about Scarlett. Not even her stiff rack could get her any attention for the Avengers, and even the straight, horny douchebags who could still jerk off to that horse face Megan Fox are overlooking her in favor of the other more relevant superheroes.
