Except he never said anything about sex scenes in general in his original statement. He and his team are trying to make it seem like he meant he has a problem with sex scenes in general, but he specifically said he has a problem with gay sex scenes being portrayed on TV because it's putting out the idea that it's normal. And he's still saying the same thing again, but trying to sugarcoat it.

Take out the new icing and still saying the same comment! It's not about sex scenes. It's about that 'gay agenda' and his having to be exposed to gay men on TV being portrayed as normal and not in the background or getting gay therapy like his character.
