Both could co-excist. It seems BEP will celebrate their 20-year anniversary. And will said they will release 'experiences" rather than an album, whatever that may mean (take it with a bunch of salt, since he has made false promises before). But It is most likely BEP wil release something in the line of a Greatest Hits, that gives Fergie plenty of room to also do her own thing.

Yes, will.i.am already said they will come back this year and said that they might release singles without an album!
