So any of you TLC fans who know me at all know that I don't play stan. When Lisa released Supernova, I said it was a whack album. What happened? Lisa came to CyberTLC, and called ME whack. Ha!
Anyway, the point is - I don't love everything TLC does just because I'm a fan. I love TLC for TLC, but some stuff they've put out can be garbage. I didn't like Lisa's album too much. Chilli's solo singles have been only average to me.
Now lets get to the point.
If you're like me, you've heard "Someday" and you're thinking "Jeez, is this the sound she's going for on her solo album." I had to ask Tionne that myself because I was concerned. Not that "Someday" isn't a good song...but I was hoping for something ELSE from the long awaited T-Boz solo album.
I wanted to know what the heck to expect from her solo album, so guess what.....T-Boz played me a few tracks on the phone. I can't give you song titles or lyrics because I promiseddddddd.....butttttttt - so HOT. The beats are banging. Club bangers. The vocal arrangement is hot. There's a track that was given to her by Rodney Jerkins that's similar to "Feedback" by Janet, which Rodney gave directly to T-Boz and not Janet.....and it's hotter than Feedback!!! She has many different flavors.....it's not all hip-hop, it's not all R&B, it's not all pop.......it's a shake 'n bake of it all.
I came into it hoping for the best, but bracing for a letdown like Lisa's solo album. There's so much more I wish I could say, but I just can't give it away!
Know this - I'm a picky ass music fan, a picky TLC fan.....and Tionne's solo album is exactly what you've been waiting for as a TLC and T-Boz fan. Be prepared
More like 100 lol..but i love TBboz and I actually think she can bring it. Give me a club track, no autotune, and maybe a feature. The songs her and Yung Joc was working on in the studio had a real good beat
