I'm asking YOU what's the solution for these kind of claims in your opinion, since they happen everyday on social media. In your opinion, is there a solution for the so called cultural appropriation?
I'm asking you, not "directing anger" because I don't get upset over random online thread. I saw your post, read it and replied to you. I'm genuinely interested on your opinion, since I don't agree with you so far.

I mean, are we having a civilized conversation or?

Gerl what? Do I look like I have all the answers? I'm just someone on ATRL with no following, influence or power.
All I can do is try to open up the conversation, share a bit of historical info, personal and relevant experience and let people decide for themselves if they want to understand or not.
You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink.
If people don't want to change their bad ingrained ways, don't want to stop playing dumb on race issues that are prevalent today and can't urge people with influence to talk on these things and influence their followings to learn more, then they won't. Me posting on ATRL is only a drop of nothing compared to what a Gaga or Rihanna or Jolie could do if they spoke out on these topics.
And I think social media is trash (and I'm not on it anymore because of things like this) so I don't have anything to say on that.
