Cultural appropriation is a problem though. The fact that white (usually) people can use minorities' and other people's cultures without any backlash for it (I'm talking discriminatory backlash), while these people face oppression on a daily basis, is ****ed up. Also the fact that they don't take the time to educate themselves on what these items/clothes/accessories really mean, and just see it as a "cool thing to wear to a party".
Well it depends, if it's random social warriors saying you're appropriating then I agree, but in this particular case the women said that according to their culture, it's seen as a sign or respect & wisdom so it makes sense that she gets offended when young white girls are wearing it to look cool.
But clearly she's wearing it to look cool and not trying to "impersonate" and act like she's wearing it as a chief. I'll be damned if I'm told what to ****in wear
