Musically speaking, the new iPod shuffle is brilliant, thanks to an exciting new feature called VoiceOver. Say you’re listening to a song and want to know the title or the artist. With the press of a button, VoiceOver tells you as the music dips down. It even announces the names of your playlists. And when your battery needs charging, VoiceOver tells you that, too.

How do you own albums, but not have heard every song from them? That kind of defeats the purpose of buying the album.

Well.. it's just that I've downloaded them in the last month so I haven't listened to them cause they are so many and new.. Or sometimes I listen to the whole album and then just pick two or three songs for my playlist, the rest just end up there, ready to show up in Shuffle, and I won't know their names when they come out.

But sometimes I do buy albums, don't listen to it very much, and eventually like over a year later go back to it and I forget what it was.

Unless it's obviously a known artist like Britney or Christina, sometimes knowing a certain particular non-single song that is from an album you haven't heard in over a year is likely.

I have done this too, I would go to a song and not know what it is, but I go see what it is and I'm like oh yeah lol, I heard this song only once like two years ago, lmao

The iPod shuffle (black or silver) has 4GB of storage, so it can hold around 1,000 songs.
I think the VoiceOver is to assist with song and playlist identification and selection.
Also, the voice you hear depends on what computer you are using.

4GB used to be the size of the more expensive Mini and Nano.
