But i guess since everyone seems to want to keep this game from having dq's plus my entry isn't an experimental mess this time

It was about a year ago when I had noticed how I was losing relationship with many of my friends including my best friend and worst of all they didn't seem to even notice or care. I had tried desperately to regain what we once had.I poured myself into and tried to nourish our friendship yet no matter what I did it was still neglected and dry. I simply wasn't important enough, I had been replaced, still In between waves of spite I tried to salvage what was left. Finally when things started looking brighter a series of events left me selfishly betrayed and abandoned. I decided to something drastic, stop fighting the current and cut my ties; "if this ship is gonna keep taking in water I might as well sink it". I stopped talking to them, stopped thinking about them and tried to let my memories erode. Listening to Clean ten months later was like art imitating life, I had realized just how toxic my reliance was and how destructive and crippling it was to let how they felt about and treated me or how I precieved them to, dictate how I felt about myself.
In amist those moments soaking in numbing devastation when the loneliness suffocated me is when I learned true independance, the strength of my character and ultimately, freedom. Even though the method was probably unessacarily painful and ironically destructive, it allowed me to grow exponentially and for that I am grateful.

I personally would suggest accepting Dollas entry with a decent penalty taken off the average judges' score for missing the deadline. If it happens a third time, that entry should not be accepted.

I don't think it's fair to everyone else, but since I don't want to see 1989 go, I think Element's idea of the penalty is good.

Avril (I think you misunderstood the theme - while this song is self-empowering and inspirational, I wanted to hear how the song inspired you to change something about yourself or your life. You have not made this connection)

That Way (I've learned recently thanks to my relationship with Scott that I'm lucky to have a mom that treats me like an adult and gives me some sort of independence. Which Scott doesn't have. So I can understand this feeling because of what I've felt in the past towards her)
It Takes Two (this is one of two Katy songs I've used to help cope with my breakup with Scott. I understand that I've made mistakes that led to our demise, but he made some as well).

Katy - You talked about how the song allowed you to reflect and how that allowed you to make a change in yourself to less selfish. It's admirable. It's also a pretty good song for Katy, I haven't really listened since I don't have the deluxe. Why'd she put something like International Smile on the album and not this

Lorde - I see how the song could make you want to change and how you came to your realization. I used to be really shy too, I feel you.

Taylor - I was really close to adding you as a save, but the way that your essay was written seemed like the song reflected the change rather than being the driving force behind the change.
