Yes. I remember Lady Antebellum's "Need You Now" massive Country Crossover smash song (6.5+ million downloads), and the Need You Now CD/Digital Album being one of fewer than ten released since 2010 to reach the 4X Platinum Certification. I have spent an hour twice writing about the song's and CD's accomplishments, only to have my computer erase what I wrote for no reason the first time and the browser crashed the second time right before it I was finished.

So do you think "Need You Now" or "All About The Bass" is bigger? Do you think Need You Now or Title go down as the bigger CD? I think Meghan Trainor will be big, but Lady Antebellum was and will remain the bigger single and CD for all of the reasons I typed up twice only to lose everything I wrote.

Wow. Amazing hold for Taylor. If it stays hovering in the 60-80k zone it will snatch some more weeks at #1.

Will be interesting to see if Taylor goes the way of RED or Fearless. I think with the number of potential hits, it'll be the latter. 5 million is guaranteed, 6 is possible.

The sales this January really haven't been as horrible as past recent years.

I've actually bought 3 new albums already (FOB, Meghan & Ella), which rarely ever happens. FOB & Meghan especially are having impressive openings.

Good numbers for Meghan though. The fact that she's outselling established artists with bigger fanbases first week like Nicki Minaj

ERM, Nicki sold 198K first week, honey. So unless she does that, she hasn't. And Nicki also sold 250K with SEA/TEA, so unless she does that, she hasn't.

But I'm sure she's going to outsell the overall sales of these other girls that released albums before in the past.

From what I've heard she has about 3 more singles on the album.

Yeah Nicki selling close to 200k but 250k with 4+ singles and album tracks.
I could imagine if Meghan had released two more actual singles before the album she might have done 260k or even more than that

Idk if EPs count towards albums or whatever, but I've also bought a few of those this month.

Raelynn, Nate Green, Tyler Carter, Borns, and Mickey Guyton's EPs.

Been a great year already for me, musically.
