Both Lily and Cheryl had embarrassing eras, but Cheryl's was obviously worse. The music is cheap. Lily still has some artistic integrity.

Pretty much - people tend to forget that British Female Artist is based on craft, artistic integrity and quality of material. Not how many records you've shifted or records you've broken. I think this should answer your question SelenaTheWinner. It's far from 'idiotic'

Considering Cheryl made UK music history I wouldn't necessarily say hers was worse. Only Human wasn't that great of an album but neither was Sheezus imo. Plus Cheryl kinda stayed true to her sound so I don't get how she didn't have artistic integrity.

And, it is irrelevent that SWOWK is from 2013. I am stating that Lily had a #1 with her latest album.

Get this straight. Hard Out Here wasn't a single and URL Badman and ALAIGY weren't promoted. Air Balloon was the only fully promoted single.

The fact is, Lily had a bigger single this era. She has bigger album sales More Youtube views. More critical acclaim. Her nom is more deserved.

"no promotion" is hardly a valid excuse when Cheryl has had two #1 singles's this era, with only one performance of each. Not to mention the fact that the only performance of Crazy Stupid Love was SEVEN weeks before it had even been released. Like, even Lily's flop singles reached higher on Radio 1's playlist than Cheryl's #1

Lily's album would've sold similarly to Cheryl's if it weren't for the heavy first week discount (99p), and Only Human will easily outsell Sheezus if she releases the same number of singles.
