About 2.4 million youth participated in the nearly 105-year-old Texas-based scouting program, representing a 7.4 percent decline over 2013 enrollment of 2.6 million youth, Boy Scout officials said in a statement on Friday.
It's easy to see why. The Boy Scouts teach you servival skills. (Side note, my phone corrected servival to servicing oooop) that have nothing to do with today's world. Nobody goes in the woods anymore. Woods are now plowed down for over priced housing developments that remain vacant because nobody can afford it. Let's not even mention all the sexual abuse scandals and their anti-gay views.
Although if you ever meet an Eagle Scout, have him show you his rope skills. You won't regret it.
