REDFORD, Mich. -
Southeast Michigan may be starting to warm up, but the area is seeing some of the effects of that dangerous cold. A cat was found frozen to the porch of a home in Redford.
You wouldn't know it by the look on its face, but it's been a traumatic few days for a black cat now named Flick.
"There was a pool of blood right next to his front paws. It looked like it was coagulated, so he's been there for a while," Redford Animal Control Officer Dan Brown said.
It was in a Redford neighborhood near Curtis and Five Points that Flick was found with his two front paws frozen to the front porch of a home and bleeding.
"By him simply trying to get out of the ice he was impacted in, not only did he rip the pads of his feet off, he ripped his claws out, and he also broke every digit in his front two feet," said Brown.
I'm so glad he's alive.
