It's easy to explain the gender of nouns but it can be tricky to explain the preterit and the imperfect, some people just don't get it. And the subjunctive, some people just can't get their head around it. I need the money though, I am so taking this job. French remains the language whose grammar I know the best though

I must say, I have no clue when to use one or the other. I vaguely know the preterite is for 'snap actions' but that's it.

But french seems easier, the articles and the declensions in german
Same
but german is just great. and it's quite different from the other languages you know. french and spanish are both romantic languages, so they'd be too similar, but it depends whether that'd be easier for you, or whether you would find it boring. that's why i'm glad the languages that i do are all different.
