I had my top 25 ranking ready before, but the top 2 had been switching back and worth as the do the countdown, even as I put this up, I wasn't sure I've made choice, both songs are equally amazing in their own way. At the end, this song second because I had less time to get acquainted with it and it will most likely appear in my favorite songs in 2015. After all, the era is just beginning.
-o-o-o NUMBER TWO o-o-o-
MARINA AND THE DIAMONDS
"FROOT"
When ATRL was spasming over the new talent Marina in her first era, I remained ignorant of the glorious gem that was The Family Jewels, it wasn't until when Marina "Sold Out" and employed "Mainstream" help for Primadonna that I fell in love with her. While lacking commercial success the Electra Heart era was phenomenal. The songs, the image, the videos! Starring Role, The State of Dreaming remains in my rotation ever since.
The Electra Heart era was a huge difference from the Family Jewel and I didn't know what to expect. and what we got was amazing
Video game like pulsations, unique sound and structure, cooing but confidant vocals.
20 out of 10
I'm not posting the official video because
1 I find this more fun and fitting
2 The Video edited down the song

...and for Number 1, the BEST SONG of 2014
I present to you
Unleashed in the east
Best dressed in the west
Sorted in the north
Without a doubt in the south
The queen of queenbees
Lioness of Juda
Phoenix from the ashes risen
Undefeated, undisputed, featherweight champion
On all five continents
World record holder with a high score of two gazillion in Tetris
Two-time recipient of the Nobel prize for super foxiest female ever
And war time consigliere to the Cosa Nostra
She split the atom, invented the x-ray, the cure for AIDS, and the surprise blindfold greeting
She performed and choreographed the fights for Bruce Lee in Enter the Dragon
And Game of Death and still does stunt doubles for Jackie Chan on the weekends
She suckerpunched Einstein, outsmarted Ali, and even outsuperfreaked Rick James
She's the founder and CEO of Konichiwa Records
The most decorated professional field operative in the industry and in the streets
With a perfect track record since kindergarden where she used to whoop schoolboy ass
She's listed in section 202 of the United Nations Security Act of 1979
As being too hot to wear tight sweaters on international airspace
In this world of tension, pressure and pain
She is known by men and women of all origin and faith
For her wisdom, compassion, and relentless
Determination in the quest to get paid
She is the Queen ROBYN, and Royksopp
DO IT AGAIN
Partnering with her long time collaborators, come one of the best EP/Dance record of 2014
