No, Nicki wants to be
both. She knows exactly what she is doing. She can't continue to grow with her ventures outside of music if she continues to just "be a rapper" like you, and others, clearly want her to be. I won't act like I haven't done it before, but some of y'all are so stuck in the past and continually want her to box herself in to please you guys.
Nicki has never been the type to intentionally box herself in... She has always presented a variety of material to us and she'll continue to do that for the rest of her career. TNISY is a good song and, regardless of how it performs, it is worthy of being a single because it markets the album to an audience that might not have checked the album out before. And, as we've seen before, radio doesn't have to be the sole way people hear the song... We have streaming services and Youtube (= a music video) which would help promote the song as well.

She more than likely is being quiet because she is in the planning stages for the next single. The demand is there for both singles, but both present problems:
- Truffle Butter is not available on on-demand streaming services (i.e. Spotify) and you cannot purchase it from iTunes without buying the album. She more than likely has a contract with them for that track to be "exclusive" to them and thus she may be unable to break the contract. Plus, Truffle Butter becoming a hit would be a good thing despite those limitations because people would have to buy the album in order to obtain the track and, of course, not everyone is gonna do that, but you'll be surprised at the people who are willing to give the album a shot after they hear that song.
- Feeling Myself obviously isn't doing as well as Truffle Butter on radio (which is charting in the Top 40 on both Rhythmic and Urban), but there still is demand for it. Bey has be away a lot and the pregnancy rumors, etc.
Be patient. Only hasn't peaked just yet and there's a lot of behind the scenes work to do.
