Azealia on KIIS FM
While continuing promotion for the now released album The Dying Stars, Azealia went on KIIS FM to talk about the album and its release, how it came to be, and even more. The interview was heavily publicized by the Los Angeles radio station who called on Azealia and begged her to come on the program. Azealia, being the saint she is, was reluctant and came on air where she talked about all the big things everyone has been wanting to know about. Along with the juicy interview on KIIS FM, Azealia also gave them a performance of her lead single off of the album, Metamorph. The performance has been since uploaded onto KIIS' YouTube account where it has gained a good bit of attention and has reached over three hundred thousand views thus far. The interview with Azealia has also been uploaded onto YouTube as well.
When Azealia was asked about the making of The Dying Stars she said the following "It was a crazy time. Such a time crunch but we got it all done in time, thankfully. I am truly thankful of that. I mean it's like it was a miracle, honestly. But yeah. Um making the album. That was insane. See, like many people know, I went to Africa, Senegal to be exact, to go and study about the night sky and astrology in general. I studied about my inner self and who I truly am and along with that, I studied who I used to be. The Dying Stars' title is much more than something cute I came up with. It represents the person I used to be and how it died. The star that I'm speaking of that died, is my old self that was depressed and self loathing. Nowadays, I am a newborn person and I have found true happiness and beauty within myself. I could not be more thankful for how life has treated me and worked out in the making of the album, honestly. I would write all day and sit and throw away page after page of lyrics because nothing fit the way I was feeling. Nothing felt right. I did so much studying until I found it. I found the umph and the juice to keep me going and keep me writng. That juice and umph was myself. I had found myself and poured all of that out in my songs, as you can see in the album. I then went to London where I recorded the entire album without instrumentals. Crazy, I know. I then had producers come to me and I found producers. Specifically, I found Dusky who is the lead producer of the album who has helped build up what my album is. He produced Metamorph which is one of my personal favorites off of the album. He's a true genius and I am so thankful for him giving me the opportunity to work with someone oh so brilliant."
After talking more and more about the album and how it came to be, Azealia went on to discuss the next single off of the album, the second single off of The Dying Stars which is Fly, featuring Childish Gambino. Azealia described the song as the following "It's about how time flies and you miss it as you are too busy focused ont he things that are going on in your own world and you need to be able to open your eyes and realize that this world and universe is giant. We live in such a beautiful giant universe and we need to not turn one side to it and keep such a limited view. We need to open our hearts and our minds to what is outside our personal perspective of the world. The world is mroe than just where you are and what you're doing right now. It's so much more than that and that's what Fly is about. I can not wait to release it and show the world what I have been putting together and building consistently. Me and CHildish Gambino flow so good together and I am so happy he agreed to do a song with me for my album. Our other song, The Oldest Computer, was something really special and I am so happy to work with him again. HOpefully we will continue using our beautiful minds to blend with eachother and work together. He's a true genius" After the interview, Azealia performed an acapella version of Metamorph and then signed off. Be sure to buy The Dying Stars today.

Justin performed new single, 'Too Good to Lose' on Wetten Das and also sat down for an interview. The performance with a famous German female singer who accompanied him to duet, as Taylor Swift was out promoting separately. Ofcourse, her performance wasn't to Taylor's level -- but it was the rave in Germany, to where they complimented it all night. They sung it together just as the studio version was, and got a standing ovation not only by the host himself but the whole audience. The performance is already on YouTube and the live version will be aired on MTV Germany throughout the week, who wrote on FaceBook 'What an amazing performance? Justin performed 'Too Good to Lose' with one of Germany's biggest singers on Wetten Das. Tune into MTV Germany throughout the week to catch it'.
How did the project 'Too Good to Lose' come together basically?
Taylor initially had the idea of us doing a collaboration. I was like, 'Okay, let's see what we can do and get it out there if it's good enough'. We ended up sitting down all day, creating a concept rather than a song -- and it came together, 'Too Good to Lose'. We had a plot, then lyrics resembling the plot, it's like we did a script and a Soundtrack too. It's hard to explain, but we were on some logical **** that day haha. The producers only helped it go to the next level ofcourse.
Did you guys record any other songs in the studio?
No, because for me -- this compilation was a quick sized thing, and I wanted to just do 1 collaboration/duet that was perfect rather than do multiple and decide the best -- which often comes with recording albums. And so this came along, and only thing. But who knows? Down the road, more of us on a track could spin out one day.
So who wrote the song 'Too Good to Lose'?
Both of did, it was a collaborative effort. Although Taylor initially came up with the idea and started the writing first, ofcourse.
Do you think the public's reception has been good?
I'd actually say it's been amazing. Y'know, with every big project you do get nervous -- wonder if it might not go the best, or the fans might not like it that much. But needless to say, as the past projects the support and acclaim has been overwhelming. I'm so thankful I have a fanbase appreciative and understanding of even my smallest work. It really makes me happy, and trust me -- I do notice, and appreciate it.
So what happens after this? The next single or such?
I'm planning on releasing one more single after this, and that's confidential information for now haha. I'm trying to finalize the last single, and come to a conclusion on what it should be. I'm down to some final choices. Ofcourse, the tour + some other stuff is coming down the line. It's gonna be fun, like it's been so far.
Full interview aired on Wetten Das throughout the rest of the week.

When you go Platinum in just 2 weeks -- additionally spawning a #1 single, and continuing to blow up the music world with Pop Collaboration 'Too Good to Lose', it's hard to sit down and have a talk. Even with the music networks and the music press: but Justin Bieber, the multi-platinum selling top artist sat down with Fuse to dish the stories and information regarding 'The Collection & More' and new song 'Too Good to Lose' with Taylor Swift. 'When we first took a listen -- heard the final version, we knew it was a wrap. Not as in the song, but the music world. Like, once this hit the radios it was gonna be good and an event. It's just that vibe, that has you like...everyone is gonna go in to this. That's exactly what was going on then, and it's exactly what happened now. Like most singers say this with hits, but I had that feeling behind this that hasn't come in a while actually' he started off with Fuse, answering on how he knew 'Too Good to Lose' would be a music hit. The last time Fuse talked to the singer was 2 years ago exactly, promoting a previous album at the time -- Fuse hyped up the event all week, and put his previous music videos into recurrent rotation on the network. They also re-aired the previous special they had involving Justin Bieber. Fuse also asked him questions ranging on music in general, such as 'What do you feel encompasses a true artist?'. The pop-singer replied, 'Someone who has their whole music project reflecting them properly, and worked on it all. Whether it was doing the part in writing, doing the part in producing, working on the video, and more. A true artist is someone who puts their ideas and brand into all of their musical work. I always try to do that. If you're selling something you're not tied to, can you really be a true artist?'. Justin was also asked, 'Is there any special things and editions coming soon, we can expect?'. Surprisingly he replied, 'I guess we'll see. I wanna get physical singles out, and I also wanna do some new editions of stuff -- as for example, 'Memphis' had the special duet edition released. I always like doing the stuff like that, to where the fans get a special version attached. It's interesting', the star also talked about the upcoming tour saying 'It's gonna be so fun! I've talked about it so much already. We're now in the planning stage, just before the announcement. The venues are just about to be booked, and we're plotting down the list of final songs in the setlist and also getting ready to learn the choreography and all of that. It's coming real, real soon...I'm excited'. Justin's full interview with the channel is gonna be aired tonight, be sure to tune in to catch it.

Gwen's album actually has a really cool concept to it that connects to No Doubt's album. Not something that makes the albums rely on each other, just something very interesting.

TAYLOR SWIFT X TODAY SHOW AUS
721

Taylor Swift was live on the Today Show Australia this beautiful Thursday morning where the American singer songwriter would finish off most of the promotion for her brand new single ‘Too Good To Lose’ this week, a song which features the one and only leading male in pop music right now, Justin Bieber. When talking about Justin and how they’d became friends in the interview on the Today Show Australia, the singer had to think back for a moment before answer. “I met Justin years ago. I believe I met him in 2008 when he’d just sort’ve come out into the music world meaning. God no, not that way. He’ll kill me if I out him out the closet. Oops. Kidding, he’s not gay. He’s straight. But I met Justin years ago. I believe we met at this event because I was sort’ve friends with Selena at the time. Things have changed so much, really so. Wait, I might’ve met him before. Either way, it was a really long time but I remember the first conversation we had was about the height difference. He used to be so obsessed with his height and he was so embarrassed when he saw that I was about a good two feet taller than him. It was hilarious. But yeah, he’s still the kid he was back then and I admire that. After all the **** and the stuff the media put him through, he’s really stayed true to himself and his craft. That’s not a common thing around here with most artists. They’re usually running their mouths on Twitter or throwing shade in interviews after getting a few hit singles. That’s not Justin. All his success he takes credit and gives it where it’s due too. Without being a total asshole about it. He’s a great friend and person too.”
The singer would also address her long time friendship with Paige Elliot, whom the singer hasn’t acknowledged ever since the Electric Princess era and hasn’t been seen with in quite some time. A smile would appear on Taylor’s lips as she spoke about her longtime friend. “Me and Paige are always going to be best of friends. All the rough patches we’ve been through only make us more appreciative of all the craziness and chaos we’ve been through. Like right after our screaming matches and physically abusive altercations, we realize that we kind of need each other. We don’t get into like fist fights. Most of the time just hair pulling. But uh, yeah I think fighting is just something all friends go through. I grew closer to Paige because of that. She’s happily in a relationship right now and so am I. We call each other up all the time to talk. We text everyday before I go to bed and when I wake up. We’re still as close as we’ve ever been. I think that’s something that will never change. Simply because we’re best friends. We’re sisters, really. I love her to death.”
The last thing the singer songwriter would talk about is what is coming for her as an artist and for her label Tigerlily Recordings as Lilliana Foxx is leaving the company to start her own family. “What’s next for me as an artist? I’m really going to start focusing on more business ventures and film stuff. At the same time I’ll still be recording and writing. Music’s always going to the first and main passion. But after that happens I’m really going to focus on my personal life. I’m going to spend some time really taking the time to put my attention toward my wonderful boyfriend, friends and family. As for Tigerlily Recordings, I’ve decided to purchase it myself. It’s a hefty amount. Around one hundred million dollars with all its branches and stuff included, but I think it’ll be worth it. We’ve got some new artists coming that i believe will really shut it down. They’re really going to bring in business for us. Well, me.”
The singer would then perform her single ‘Too Good To Lose’ on the program, serving vocals while wearing a cute crop top that was dark red in color and had a cute black lace type of fabric covering it. She served a lady in red type of tea if that makes sense.

Justin Bieber seems to be as busy as ever. The singer-songwriter’s been all over the world this weekend promoting her brand new single, ‘Too Good to Lose’, a song that was written by Taylor Swift along with Justin Bieber. In an interview earlier this week with Fuse, Justin spoke about the recording process with the successful Pop Star. “Recording with Swift is always a super fun experience. As we know, she's so experienced when it comes to crafting these perfect super infectious pop songs. She's done some of the best songs and albums from this decade, plus she continues to be an all-around force in the industry. We knew this would go great. Something that if people listened, they would just have to find out what the next song is and who's behind it, and most importantly how to get ahold of the song".
The singer-songwriter arrived in Germany late last night after leaving UK for a full day of promotion. Despite the hectic schedule to support the #1 selling era 'The Collection & More', Justin appeared to be happy to be back in Germany and excited to do some more interviews and performances. Justin was bombarded initially before airport security set up escorts for his departure. He was smiled for photographers and even stopped at the outside of the airport to take pictures with as many fans as he could. “I love you guys,” Justin yelled out to those. He would then be on his way to some German promotional spots for a performance of his brand new single ‘Too Good to Lose’ as well as some other exclusives.
The audience lost it to the production of ‘Too Good to Lose’ filled in the room. The crowd went wild as Justin stared in happiness at the response, in shock. The intro was extended a bit as he took a little to get ready to the chaotic crowd and the screaming in his ear. Justin would then sing the song with much emotion, leaving the places he stood with his guitar, to roam the stage, Justin walking to one side of the stage and Justin to the other as he showcased live vocals they were just as good, if not better than the studio vocals. Justin finished out the hit single by saying, 'Y'all come on....help me, gimme a finish!' pointing the microphone to the audience -- they were screaming the lyrics from their throats, and it'd turned out well. Justin said, 'Wow...I think this might just be my best moment in Germany. This was amazing, thank you guys -- I didn't expect all of this support. You guys continue to shock me everyday. I'm speechless Germany'. Justin continued to roam around the stage -- gifts from fans including cards, roses, stuffed animals, and notes were being thrown all over stage. He looked around laughing and in smiles, blowing kisses to the audience and hugging some of the fans attempting to touch his hands in the audience. The performance was broadcasted on two of Germany's most popular networks.

Finishing up promotion on the land of Germany, Justin arrived to the night time show 'The Helene Fischer Show'. Host Helene Fischer was anxious to see the worldwide known Pop Star for hits such as 'Cassanova', 'So Much for You', and 'Too Good to Lose'. Justin's entrance onto the stage caused an outburst of applause from the fan-filled audience, as Justin smiled and winked at some fans. Staring at many of the signs in the air including, 'GERMANY LOVES JUSTIN', 'YOU LIGHT UP GERMANY JUSTIN', and more -- he felt flattered, starting off by saying 'the signs are just amazing, thank y'all'. Host Helene Fischer introduced herself, and talked about his new single + album currently out, and can be heard all over Germany's Pop Radio, along with Germany MTV + online. Justin also talked about Taylor Swift, giving the German fans of Ms. Swift an update on her saying, 'She's doing nice! Her album is in stores, and also is doing nice. She's all over the world doing interviews and performances too. Her craft and drive is like mine, you have to appreciate it. She loves y'all too!'. Fischer continued the interview by asking about the upcoming returns to Germany and also did some fan-requested questions, including some from the audience themselves. The interview lasted about 20 minutes, in which Justin was also asked questions on his new album, his new movies, and other personal life related questions. Afterwards, Justin closed the appearance on Helene Fischer's show by performing current single 'Too Good to Lose'. The performance, started with Justin building up the audience. They were chanting, 'You're just Too Good to Lose' despite the single being relatively new and just out in Germany. A light then shined down on Justin, to where he said 'You're just too good, you're just too good....' and began dancing as the audience cheered. His singing then begun, to where he walked down off the stage and into the aisles in the audience to screaming fans singing back and forth between some. He went up to one lucky girl, sitting in an empty seat next to her while singing in her ear. Then got up, making his way back to stage, Taylor's duet verse cut in -- to where Justin burst into a solo choreography, and got more applause. Justin then said, 'Let's end this well Germany! Finish the lyrics to me' to where he switched the microphone in between each line to the audience now chanting the song. As the song came near an end, he picked up some roses throwing them into the audience. Justin then said, 'Germany I love you! Keep the support up, and keep it blessed'. Justin then got a standing ovation as the cameras cut, and he made his way towards the exit of the stage. This was his first choreographed performance to 'Too Good to Lose' and the reception had been mixed -- the negative side, many felt a deep duet like this wasn't suppose to have an upbeat like choreography accompanying it. However, Justin's performance was watched by millions and still helped the single.

Christina appears on Ellen

Yesterday morning, Christina Aguilera performed her highly controversial industrial pop track - Amethyst Bleach - which now serves as the third single for her 2015 release and experimental 8th studio album Truth Pill on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. This is her first appearance on Ellen for the entire era although she regularly visits her every year due to them being such good friends even outside of the industry. Christina didn't exactly have a fully fledged interview with the homosexual comedienne who is currently gearing up for the sequel to Finding Nemo where she voices the character of Dory, however, they did have a substantial girl to girl chat near the end of Christina's performance like Ellen always does with her musical guests. The stage seemed extremely comfortable to the voice of our generation because of how many times she's performed on it before so she definitely looked like a pro up there as the audience grooved along to her out there third single - Amethyst Bleach. It was not as toned down in other performances of the track due to NBC having more lenient terms with Christina since she has pioneered a very successful talent competition called The Voice and because they have more lenient terms in general compared to the other channels, such as FOX and ABC.
Christina started off the performance with some throat singing and then proceeded to simulate slitting her wrists on stage. This garnered a lot of gasps from the audience which was what Christina probably wanted anyways. There wasn't real blood involved throughout the performance although it's been said that it was quite risky for Christina to carry out. However, that didn't stop her! The beat kicked in and she engaged with the audience as her cherry black shade of hair writhed around everywhere. She was accompanied with a mini band as she sung Amethyst Bleach. A rock version of Amethyst Bleach was definitely used during the performance on Ellen. For now, there's no knowing whether Christina will release a remixes EP or an official remix single for Amethyst Bleach although it does seem extremely likely especially when taking into consideration that there is a rock version in existence - for what reason? We're not that sure. The performance wasn't as concentrated on choreography compared to Christina's past singles and it did differ a lot from when she already performed Amethyst Bleach numerous of times during the album release week for Truth Pill. This was definitely a new sound for Christina but it strangely suited her! She blared through the microphone as the band behind her tried to keep up. There were no backup singers or playback or even a backing track. Just Christina Aguilera doing what she does best which we all love.
Daytime television talk shows aren't really Christina's forte, however, she did manage to pull it off and even had a quick little chat with Ellen herself near the end. She asked Christina about the album: "Well, Ellen, I'm so pleased to announce that dates have now been added for my US leg. Yes! I'll be touring here all throughout this month so be sure to book your tickets now. They'll be selling like hot cakes. I've put in so much effort with this album, my album Truth Pill. Ellen, I even sent you your own very special copy as a Christinamas gift. My fans, my Fighters who have stood by me from the second I got out of the gate. I love you and this album is for you guys. There are so so so many things that I have lined up. I just want to share it with all of you right now. But, of course, that can't happen for obvious reasons. I'm very excited and very passionate about this era. I see good things happening in the future. The best is yet to come, y'know? Oh and the special edition of my record - Truth Pill - so be sure to buy that since it's on offer for only a limited time and whatnot. Haha! Thank you for making my dreams possible. Peace out!"
That heartfelt speech came out of nowhere but truly surprised Ellen as they hugged and whispered in each other's ear before they cut to a commercial break. The audience also seemed to respond extremely well to Christina even though her performance seemed quite intimidating and nothing ever seen before at times.

Christina Aguilera's MTV Diary

Last night, a very special airing of MTV Diary was broadcast and featured the ever lovely Christina Aguilera as the main star. MTV Diary used to be aired on MTV, giving fans an insight into their favourite celebrity's life. Christina Aguilera has actually done MTV Diary once before and the appearance was a huge success with a high demand to bring her back for the second time around. In fact, MTV Diary stopped airing back in 2010 which riled up a lot of fans. With Christina releasing her newest record - Truth Pill - MTV then decided to bring the show back for 1 night only with a special episode centering around Christina and her adventures during the recording process of her experimental 8th studio album.
The episode saw Christina hanging out with her friends and also portrayed a softer side by showing how she is a mother to her two kids - Max Liron Bratman and Summer Rain Rutler. This is interesting because usually Christina is a very guarded person and doesn't particularly like to shove herself into the spotlight, let alone her family and friends. However, it did give us more of a grasp of who Christina Aguilera is and how she's just like the rest of us in many ways. Her family appeared a lot in the MTV Diary special and they were met with a lot of positive support from various social media platforms. One fan of the blue eyed soul singer tweeted: "Woww! It's so amazing to finally see my queen @xtina with her family and friends; the people who she loves the most. Rock on girl. This era just keeps on giving and giving. When will the slayage stop?! #makeawave #MTVDiary" It seems as though the MTV Diary special episode that Christina took part in did wonders for her appeal to the masses and definitely brought a lot of awareness to her era with the Paul Epworth produced record - Truth Pill. In addition, over the recent years, MTV has dipped down and garnered a lot of criticism for turning to the business of reality TV shows instead of focusing on the music like they were known and prone to doing in the past. Now MTV aims to break down that stigma and actually broadcast music orientated content. This MTV Diary special with Christina Aguilera is a definite step forward in terms of how much the ratings for MTV has decreased in recent years past.
Truth Pill was used as a mini soundtrack throughout the MTV Diary special with Christina's current third single - Amethyst Bleach - being the one that was most used frequently. Through doing this, it gave the documentary an authentic feel as if you were actually experiencing the life that Christina leads now. Promotion for both the album and the single was heavily featured during the documentary which is probably the main purpose as to why Christina even did another MTV Diary special in the first place. Christina is definitely trying to get in the public's good books with this latest documentary. It does put her in a good light and could potentially peak some interest in those who don't care for Christina Aguilera and her platinum blonde extensions. Relatability has always been a key downfall to Christina's career ever since she debuted in the 90s. Sometimes, her introverted nature can be mistaken for being "bitchy" so there's that clear misunderstanding and issue with conveying personality there. The MTV Diary special, however, could break down the walls that have been put in place between Christina and the public. We hope the people warm up to her even more as she starts touring in the coming days.
Production was said to have spanned over the course of three weeks. A crew accompanied Christina in her adventures throughout these three weeks. Having said that, a few parts of the documentary was filmed earlier/later than expected due to budgeting costs and the fact that some necessary parts had to be filmed that way such as the interview cuts between each segmented portion of the MTV Diary special. MTV is actually broadcast in a variety of countries, not just America, so the documentary with Christina could be seen on a global scale instead of the usual faffing about.

Christina lands Christian Dior deal
+ Amethyst Bleach used for commercial

Yesterday evening, it was officially confirmed that Christina Aguilera has signed on to a deal with revered high end designer brand Christian Dior as part of her new era. The deal aims to utilise Aguilera as the main spokeswoman for Dior and she will also be the face for the French luxury goods company. There have previously been talks for Christina to do just a little commercial for Dior in the past. In fact, she was rumoured and contemplated over for that intricate commercial that they shot instead with Charlize Theron. It was a last minute switch up. But now it's Christina's turn to dazzle and shine as she becomes the face of Dior for what it's alleged to be up to at least a year. That is more than any other Dior girl in the past. In addition, Christian Dior is looking to secure Christina for more than a year if she does well and if the campaign is responded to well. Unfortunately, Dior has been struggling for the past decade now so they're looking forward to having more successful endeavours with Christina since she is a definite catch and one to keep an eye on in terms of marketing skills/tactics and techniques. Christina Aguilera is typically known for her trashy looks. Having said that, she can pull off much classier ensembles as proven by her Baby Jane days during her 2006 LP Back To Basics which was produced by hip hop beatmaker DJ Premier. Moreover, Christina is expected to clean up her image in preparation for the upcoming campaigns that Dior will assign her to do in the not too distant future.
A commercial which features Christina Aguilera has been officially aired across the nation as it promotes the latest line of products that Christian Dior has issued to be released in 2015. Every year, Dior revamps their collection in order to stay on trend and ahead of the curve. In the commercial, Christina is wearing a velvety cream dress although it's quite hard to tell since the advert is mostly in black and white for the duration of it for an "ancient" and timeless effect. Christina mirrors those from Old Hollywood as her signature platinum blonde hair is intricately styled towards one side of her head in deep, luscious waves that only she could ever pull off. She shows off the blind and is extremely mysterious which gives off a curiosity that wants you to delve in even further. Christina Aguilera definitely makes her presence known in this commercial and it is a perfect way for Dior to start off the year. The new line of products were the main attraction and were heavily focused on throughout. The commercial was shot differently compared to what you'd typically expect from an ad. It was refreshing to see it being directed in that way, meaning that potential customers could be drawn in by such a simplistic thing as how the commercial is actually edited. There wasn't one big name director who overlooked the project and instead it was a bunch of small town directors who are a team that does this kind of stuff.
In addition, Christina's crew also had a helping hand in the commercial just to oversee a few things and make sure everything's perfect and going seamlessly. Christina's third single - Amethyst Bleach - from her 8th studio album; Truth Pill was the theme song or jingle (if you will) of the commercial. It had a sleek retro twist that is unheard of in the original studio version of the industrial pop track. There are rumours circulating around that Christina will indeed be releasing a remix EP for Amethyst Bleach although no one knows as of yet when that EP will be released. The song strangely seemed to fit in with the commercial and added an interesting element of tension to it. It's not yet been confirmed whether Amethyst Bleach will completely overtake past songs and become Dior's only representative on the musical side of things. Nevertheless, we believe that Amethyst Bleach is the perfect song for Dior to be "repacked" into this new generation and hopefully that'll help both parties in 2015. Aguilera's contract with Dior is expected to be extended as soon as this commercial stops airing on television. Be sure to watch out for that announcement.

Track-by-track commentary on Spotify
By Christina Aguilera

Truth Pill
Truth Pill is the intro track to my album of the same name and it definitely sets the tone and mood for the rest of the songs. I'm pretty proud of this one. Truth Pill fully captures the concept that I had in mind for this record. If I had to describe Truth Pill with one word it would be: ethereal. After I had finished compiling the rest of my album, this song stuck out to me the most and I regularly listen to it every now and again which isn't something I'd normally do.
The Apple of My Eye
Hmm; The Apple of My Eye is a funny one. The song is told from the perspective of a mother who has just lost her baby. Through a miscarriage, an abortion of otherwise... it's definitely clear that some sort of child death had occurred. Actually, with this one I drew experiences from my own life. It's extremely heartfelt but there's a little spunk in there, y'know? It's probably one of the tracks I enjoyed working on the most. This is a surefire gem!
Karmasutra
Oh, such pleasure and delight! Karmasutra... haha! I played around with this song for sure. It's about rampant sex life and how that can sometimes be neglected. Hence, the pun - karma and karmasutra because I do delve into a lighthearted discussion about adultery, y'know? Just your average sex anthem and whatnot. I have considered making this one especially a single, however, we'll keep looking into that. It's one of the more "relieving" songs on Truth Pill. It's always nice to show a different side to me. The XXXtina side of me. Haha!
Let Them Eat Cake
Let Them Eat Cake was originally a track on my previous record - Pandora's Box - and was actually scheduled to be released as that album's third single. However, due to conflicts and other such reasons that unfortunately could not happen so I included it on this album again just so that this brilliant song could get the recognition it deserves. I released Let Them Eat Cake as my first and only promotional single for this album way back when Chrysalis was the second single. It's very playful, very tongue in cheek. Even though it mirrors a lot of sexual innuendos, it's actually a tribute to "the haters" out there and just laughing everything off. From the slack you get. The stress you may feel. The pressure. Baby, just let them eat cake! Haha. It can also be interpreted as an anti-bullying song although it's not meant to be taken that seriously.
Waves
Whoa, we're at the lead single already! I took a fairly different approach with Waves. It brought out my inner indie chick and it's message is just so breathtaking. I've shed multiple tears to this beautiful song. I'm glad that it has gone on to inspire a whole new generation. I thank Mark Ronson for bringing my thoughts to life. This is an exceptional record and I simply can't express that enough.
Blue Pill (Interlude)
Blue Pill (Interlude) marks the second half of Truth Pill and is a seamless transition into a more introspective sense. It does its job and does it well. This track definitely ties things all together and whatnot. I should've made it a full song!
Chinese Whispers
There's whispering throughout Chinese Whispers and I feel that adds an element of uncertainty. It makes you seem very claustrophobic when listening to the song. Chinese Whispers is one of the most ambitious tracks I've ever done. I like the ambience. It's one of those songs that makes you feel like you're actually there. It's inspired by moments of insanity and refers to solitary confinement and how that translates over to every day life, being trapped inside your own head where that's probably the scariest place of all.
Nunchucks (feat. iamamiwhoami)
The first collaboration on the album. Nunchucks is a track I worked on with the effervescent iamamiwhoami. She's one of those artists out there that I'm constantly intrigued by whatever she does. The song we did together is an interesting take on how one thing could lead to another.
Fishbowl
Fishbowl is inspired by the amazing Pink Floyd. They truly are something! Like Chinese Whispers, Fishbowl very much gives you a feel of claustrophobia although it's more soothing and less intense compared to Chinese Whispers. This is one of the most personal songs I've ever done. It talks about reality and whether we are sometimes oblivious to what's going on around us.
Nowhere To Be Found
This song is a ballad-driven midtempto with an R&B twist. It's about losing yourself in your own unconsciousness. I love how melancholy this song can be. Nowhere To Be Found leaves a definite impact on my life so I hope the favour is returned.
Red Pill (Interlude)
Red Pill (Interlude) is an incredibly experimental track as we drift off into a bolder and riskier portion of the record. This track ultimately leaves you wanting more. I particularly love my speaking voice over it, haha!
Amethyst Bleach
Yay, we're now at one of my favourite songs that I've recorded in my entire career - Amethyst Bleach. It's very gritty and raw. It explores the subject of self harm which is something that I can loosely understand from personal experience. I believe that people would be surprised at first when hearing this song but eventually grow to like it. There are no words to describe Amethyst Bleach. It is just that... Amethyst Bleach.
Chrysalis (feat. Bjork)
A powerful yet understated anthem about finding your soulmate as it uses the "cocoon" process as figurative speech. This is the first time I've worked with my good friend Bjork who just did her absolute thing on our song together - Chrysalis. It'll also be featured on her very own album next week so please watch out for that! Chrysalis is very easy to digest but leaves you with a familiar aftertaste.
Sour Grapes
Sour Grapes is about this idea of "sweet nothings". In fact, the song was originally called Sweet Nothings until I changed it to Sour Grapes after noticing that it kind of went into a different direction that what I had planned in the beginning. This is another track that could be and probably will be made a single at some point. It's very bittersweet.
- - - - -
In Denial
Judging from the title, this song is about being in denial. There's a "tug of war" aspect to this song felt throughout which gives In Denial a bit more depth. It's the moment before you learn acceptance and I had a good time figuring out what I wanted to sing about. It's acoustic and the first bonus track!
Handle With Care
Handle With Care is a fragmented song if you catch my drift. it talks about being fragile and how you've come accustomed to mistreatment and pain. The chorus is the most intense I've ever sounded which gives a nice contrast to the airy instrumental. Paper trees are what this song represents.
Soulless Soul
Soulless Soul is potentially the darkest song I've ever done. It speaks about the taboo topic of suicide and how depression can manifest itself, leaving you with no other choice but to die. Harder to digest but worthwhile.
If I Should Disappear
If I Should Disappear is a borderline love song about taunting your other half as to whether they'd still be here if you should disappear. It's a play on words, meaning that this is what would happen if I should disappear and also a direct ultimatum. Also, it doesn't necessarily have to be interpreted as a love song but just as a simple "I want to be remembered" type of song. It's lovely.
- - - - -
Waves (feat. Kendrick Lamar)
I worked with the multi-talented rapper Kendrick Lamar - who I have been a fan of for many years - to create this slick urban infested remix to my lead single Waves. It's a great composition and I had the pleasure to work with such a fine young man.
The Naked Truth (Live)
This song was originally planned to be recorded for this album although some things just do not work out like you want it to, y'know? It's very funky and authentic. Who knows? Maybe it'll pop up on a future album some day.
What If
What If is a direct continuation of If I Should Disappear and it talks about what could've been and what should've been. It's very fairy-esque and mystical in that respect. One of my personal favourites! And that concludes my 8th studio album - Truth Pill. Thank you so much.

Tour Article [303 Words]
Cara Delevingne performed last night the third date of the 'Distant World Tour' which seems like it's going to be one of the most successful tours this year, as Cara is effortlessly selling out stadiums all around the world. Lena for British Vogue
WORD COUNT: 988

German singer and songwriter Lena has scored her first ever Vogue cover as she landed right on British Vogue's cover. Lena, whose real name is Lena Meyer-Landrut, goes almost makeup-free for the new issue of British Vogue in a beautiful photoshoot which was heavily inspired and influenced by gold and roalty. The pictures of Lena for this new issue of British Vogue was shot Lena's good and close friend, who is also a photographer and photographed Lena for her new album cover and single cover. For the February 2015 issue, the magazine explores Lena's long career, examining "how the soon to be unstoppable pop singer is potentially the next fashion icon and a fashion dictator." Besides talking about fashion with Lena, British Vogue also questions her long career which is just starting to take off five years later after Lena debuted her first official single, her upcoming debut US and fourth overall album, her new single Trouble which is already slowly but surely rising on the charts, the weird and unexpected sound of her next record and her tight schedule that forces Lena to be always on the run and always on a tour bus or a plane. British Vogue not only named Lena as one of the next fashion trendsetters, but they also shared their thoughts on how they think that Lena should become quite a name on the music charts few months later, once her album gets released. However, this British Vogue cover with Lena on it caused some controversy as well as people who are fans of fashion and British Vogue think that Lena or her team probably bought the cover for Trouble singer and that she didn't deserve the place on the cover at all, since she isn't a big name in either music or fashion. However, British Vogue reps told the media that they decided to give the first cover of 2015 to someone with a lot of potential and who will definitely become a big name sometime in this year.
On her brand new record: "I'm still recording it, and it may take two or three more months to finish it. It may take less than two months, but it basically depends on how everything goes with the recording proccess. I could say that everyone should expect a new record to come out in... late February, I think? That is the date that we have planned right now, we're already booking the promotion around that time, we're figuring out the promotion plan, we already have the coverart for the album, we are picking out the singles and the things we want to release, but I can't say that I can confirm the date, I can't do that because we don't have a date yet. It's almost completed now though, it's almost completed, we have to record and produce few more songs, I still have to get together with two more producers that will finish up this album by recording the rest of the songs that we have to produce, but other than that, it's almost completed and ready to go. Also, few have to go through the mixing process as well, but that doesn't take a long time, so I hope everything will be ready by the end of February. I really can't wait to share all of my new songs and this whole project. Although I would say Trouble is one of the strongest songs on the album, it definitely doesn't help to describe the sound of this album. As it was reported, I'm working with a lot of rock producers, but I'm not quite creating rock music, I'm creating something that could be described as indie pop, I guess, with guitar sounds leading the songs. They're filled with guitars, and it sounds really good. Most of the songs are produced by pop producers like Benny Blanco, Max Martin and others, but most of them were co-produced by rock producers like Lana Del Rey's producers, Royal Blood's producers and others. It's hard to imagine how this album will sound, but I can promise that it's going to be good and impressive. Just wait for it."
On her style and fashion: "Fashion means a lot to me, because I think that fashion is a way to expressive yourself. You can wear darker clothes if you're feeling down, or maybe if you want to look classy, clean and polished, you can wear colors if you're feeling happy and positive and creative and uplifted. Basically, clothes are another way to expressive yourself, your feelings. When it comes to choosing the clothes that I wear on red carpet, I always get a lot of help from my stylist who is like my long lost twin when it comes to picking out something. He knows me really well, he knows how I want to see myself, he knows what kind of clothes I want to wear, so when it comes to picking out clothes, it's always something that we work on together. Basically, I'm always really busy and on the run, I can't just sit around for some time picking out clothes, calling up the designers and doing thing like that so my stylist just gets whatever he thinks I would love to wear, and then we meet up in a studio or whatever together and we both handpick the thing that we both love. I love to get involved when it comes to fashion, but I just can't always do that because of my schedule, so that's why I have someone who can pick out the things that I could choose from. I think that the best way to describe my fashion and style would be beautiful but comfortable at the same time. I hate wearing things that make me feel uncomfortable, I don't like doing that because I just don't feel myself when someone throws clothes on me that I don't feel comfortable with."

Lady Gaga and Madonna on Dancing with the Stars

Global superstars Lady Gaga and Madonna made an epic performance on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars of their hit single, “PARTYNAUSEOUS”. Fans and critics alike raved about the performance on various social media platforms. The performance aired right after the title card rolled, and introduced the show.
The performance begins with a glacial illuminated neon waterfall and a transparent stair well in the background, heavy fog on the stage and black glow-in-the-dark type lighting. As the song begins, dancers in black costumes with LED lighting on them and dark cloaks swarm the stage, as they do contemporary/modern/ballet style dancing. The cloaks waver and float about. Suddenly, the curtains open at the top of the stairs and Lady Gaga emerges. She is wearing a fluorescent pink wig, chic sunglasses and a custom outfit from PHILIPS Design. The outer, vessel shaped shell is made from LED and fibre optic lights.

Gaga sings the first verse of the song as she takes the shell of her costume to reveal a neon electronic leotard in an array of colours. She begins to perform choreography at the end of her verse, as Madonna begins to come down the steps and enter the stage with an entourage of dancers. She is wearing a glowing green wig, as well as a similar outfit than Gaga’s from PHILIPS. The duo shoot daggers at each other, as the dancers split in half and form cliques around both Gaga and Madonna. The feuding cliques do complexed choreography in competition with each other.
“We're currently set from the East
I be queen Madon-na-na
We PARTYNAUSEOUS 'cause I seem to ‘ve some problem with ya
----
We're currently set from the West
My name is Lady Gaga
We PARTYNAUSEOUS 'cause I seem to ‘ve some problem with ya”
The two separate groups clash together as the build-up of the song is performed. Gaga and Madonna come together and begin to provocatively grind on each other and flip their hair. As the chorus begins, strobe lights go off and the stage is filled with dark green fog and foam in resemblance to cannabis. The dancers and Madonna and Gaga dance with glow sticks. The vocal performance is exceptional and clear.
For the second part of the performance, Gaga and Madonna continue to do skilled, innovative and sexy choreography together. For the finale, Gaga, Madonna and the backup dancers throw colourful paint powder on each other, inspired by the Hindu Holi Festival of Colours.

After the performance, the show’s host Erin Andrews briefly interviewed the stellar duo.
Erin: Give it up for Lady Gaga and Madonna!
*crowd applauds and cheers*
E: That was absolutely magnificent! How are you feeling?
Gaga: Tired!
E: Well, I bet you are. And this is the new single, “PARTYNAUSEOUS”.
Madonna: Yes, which is available right now.
E: Of course, on iTunes, Google Play, Spotify and a CD and Vinyl single is coming soon, am I correct?
G: Yes!
E: And what will the music video be like? Because obviously we would love to see the visuals of this song with two icons like you in it!
M: Thank you.
E: Will it be similar to this?
G: Hopefully! We don’t want to give too much away though.
E: And you both are pros, but do you still find live performances challenging?
M: Absolutely, it’s hard to execute vocals and dance at the same time.
E: And any tips for our contestants.
G: Just really get into it and good luck.
M: Of course, with dance you have to have a lot of passion during the performance.
G: Yes, channel your emotion into it.
E: Wise words from two professionals! Thank you for being on the show tonight.
“PARTYNAUSEOUS” is on iTunes right now. One last time, give it up for Madonna and Lady Gaga!
*crowd cheers*
