Hello ATRL Music Lovers! I am IBeMe and I am on a mission to have more members interested in asian music or asian artists. I myself am not asian but I fell in love with J-pop when i was in the 4th grade (mainly due to Inuyasha) this then advanced to my love for Japanese culture, history, food and all forms of entertainment. This led to me falling in love with more asian countries and their music etc.

However on ATRL it seems that we have a lack of Asian music lovers or of Asian artists who sing "western" music too! why? well this can pan out mainly because ppl don't know it. dont want to know it, have stereotypes or just don't ike it because they were introduced to it in the wrong way!

Now lets try and make ATRL an active forum for pan-asian music lovers! (pan asian as in any asian music, k-pop, j-pop, indian , chinese, filipino, arabic music etc..)

Lets make it our mission to publicize ATRL as a place were asian music lovers can come and discuss their fav asian music or their fav asian artists etc...

Spread the word yall! the 2015 members are coming! we need them and we need to convert some of yall who are already members on ATRL.

So like, do you want us to post music? I like this idea.

lol sistren! a lot of kids in Canada got into asian culture, music etc thx to Inuyasha. it was prob the first like anime that focused on asian culture a lot (they were so smart to keep the music japanese and not translate it like most other anime's) it made ppl super curious.

and yas sistren! post songs by asian artists! it can be in their language or in english it doesnt matter. just lets give the asian sistrens some promo and lets spread the word and share how we spread the word about ATRL being a fun pop forum for asian music fans! : D

Oh lol, over here DB, Yugioh, Pokemon & Naruto were more mainstream lol.

But this is an absolute beast of a track!

This was also the case for Canada. I'm not sure about IBeMe's circle of friends, but Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Digimon etc. were far more popular than Inuyasha was. Merchandise for the shows were overflowing in stores! Granted, the former shows didn't really embrace Japanese culture as much as Inuyasha and Naruto; they were just seen as normal cartoons and I doubt most people even realized they were from Japan while watching them, especially since some of them made efforts to change certain stuff (such as sushi) to be more western (like hamburgers).

People that watched Inuyasha were tyically more interested in Japanese culture and other animes, while people interested in Pokemon seemed a lot more casual and only aware of a particular grouping. Of course, that's not true for everyone that watched these shows, but it was for most of us.
