They are seemingly back together after ending their on/ off relationship in February last year.
But Katy Perry and John Mayer talked things through before giving their romance another try for the fourth time.
According to Us Weekly, the couple went to see Katy's therapist before their date night and sleepover on January 3.
A source said: 'They're open to working through their issues.
'John and Katy connect on a deep level' the insider added, even hinting that the duo are moving fast in the direction of commitment.
Katy, 30 and John, 37 were seen enjoying a dinner date in Beverly Hills before heading back to the Firework hit maker's palatial home for some alone time on January 3.
And most recently, on Saturday, the pair were spotted on a double date with Girls star Allison Williams, 26 and her fiance Ricky Van Veen at Chateau Marmont, Los Angeles.
A source told People that '[John] greeted Katy with a kiss.
'The two singers held hands at the table and continued the PDA when they left around 11:15pm, standing hand-in-hand in the lobby before heading out.'
Katy and Gravity crooner John ended their on/off relationship in February 2014. They first started dating in June 2012 but had split by that September.
They reunited shortly after but once again broke up in March 2013 before their third go around.
Last year Katy, ex-wife of Russell Brand, was romantically linked to Diplo, real name Thomas Pentz.
